Shuttle no go fo landing...
They have waved landing for 24 hours due to low cloud cover. They are getting all kinds of coverage of this on c-span. Even showing live feeds from the space station.
|
yeah they are going to hold off it sounds like
you can check out http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ and watch in 24hrs :thumbsup |

what an incredible waste of money ... i hope the fucker blows up.
what exactly is the goal of this nonsense? to live on the fucking moon one day? maybe put some of this tax money back into peoples pockets and we dont need to move to the moon. |
Good I forgot to set my alarm. Was gonna get up and see if it crashed and burned. Yeah I know Morbid as hell but thats the only reason I watch a little NASCAR and other racing. For the crashes. lol
|
wHAT A FUCKIGN WASTE OF MONEY ALL THIS DAMN SPACE SHIT IS.
it sickens me. People starving in our own countries and we pour millions and billions into this? TO wait and see if it blows up? Cripes. if they INSIST on going into spac, at least fucking design a new shuttle that's safe for fuck sakes instead of wasting away billions watching it blow up. |
I forget the Star Trek movie that was all about us discovering the technology to do deep space exploration but it was one of the best later ST movies. I keep waiting for that to happen. Till then I say fuck NASA and all that money theyre wasting.

Your own ignorance is showing. Are you aware of the advancements in technology and medicine as a result of space exploration? Contribute to the cure of a disease and that not only helps people, but saves money too. Now go do some research on the subject and post a list of the technologies that have grown out of space exploration and then explain to me how the world is not better off? |

And you hope the 7 astronauts on Discovery die why? |

*shakes head* that rant reminded me of the day the Challenger blew up (a big day in my childhood) and my stupid babysitter said it was god's punishment for not staying on earth where he put us. I don't care how long they are up there as long as these heros to science come back safely. *goes to sip her tang and undo her velcro* |

secondly, they choose what they are doing ... to participate in what I consider to be a fucking useless and dangerous job. third - take it easy - "hoping it blows up" is an exageration of how i feel about that this is a fucking stupid thing to be doing. the only people i want to see physically harmed is molestors. |

We need space exploration to move ahead. Progress is needed to further develop our understandings of the unknown. A lot of good comes out of these missions.
I am hoping for a smooth return for that crew. |

Oh, and the imagry systems used in CAT Scans and MRIs. If you're anti-NASA, don't ever let your doctor use one of those on you :winkwink:
