Bad mistake?
So Intel has partnered with Morgan Freeman to launch an online movie-download site called ClickStar that aims to pull users away from illegal downloads of first-run films.
A Google news search for "ClickStar" returns 300 stories mentioning the launch of this website. Priceless exposure! So I go to www.clickstar.com and it's a domain parking page. WTF??? So I go to www.clickstar.net and it's something in German. WTF??? A billion dollar tech company partners with an oscar winning actor to launch a website, they get a load of free press reporting on it, but they don't even own the .com for their chosen name? So what domain do they own? www.clickstarinc.com :Oh crap |

ClickStar is the name of the corporation, and doesn't have to be the brand of the service they are developing.

I think ClickStar would be a great name for the service, too bad the domain is already owned by a squatter, and it doesn't look like they've bought it yet. To me, this just seems like a big waste of publicity, especially when they're already the underdogs because they'll have to compete with existing companies like www.cinemanow.com and www.movielink.com |
that's an interesting project.
