My Review of Alexander
 

What a horrible fucking movie!

I can't believe how bad it was, the acting was pitiful. The accents made it even worse. I haven't seen alot of Collin Farrel but I thought he was good in 'Phonebooth'. But in this role he was just pathetic. This is also the first movie Angelina Jolie has annoyed me, her accent was like nails driving into my temples. Val Kilmer was the only decent actor in the whole thing, and even he wasn't the greatest I've seen him. The battles were even boring, none of the characters stood out so you could never tell who was who. Battles looked like ripoffs of other big movies.

Troy was a masterpiece next to this.

You thought troy was good? OK. I will stay away from Alexander.

Troy was alright, nothing really special, but I still enjoyed it. Wouldn't rate it a favorite movie or anything, but Alexander is comparison was garbage, and considering the cast I was really disappointed. They Had Collin Farrell, Michael Plummer, Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer, some good actors. Hopkins and Plummer had really small roles so they couldn't even save the movie.

Rosario Dawson has some nice big naked boobs in it though :)

By viewing those names it should be a success. Last night i watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith also with Angelina Jolie, damn she's a great actrice :upsidedow

don't get me wrong, she was fucking hot in this, but that was all, her accent drove me nuts!

I liked Alexander better, because it illustrated the history much better than Troy. Troy was a typical hollywood hero movie, while Alexander focused more on the personalities from those days. Maybe that's why the acting is less comparable :upsidedow

Rent them both, but don't buy them.

hehe.. in ancient Greece and Rome gay romances were a common and condoned part of military culture....far from today's cultures. :winkwink:

the whole gay plot didn't bother me, already knew all that, it was the cheesy acting that bugged me and the boring battles.

I watched 20 minutes, but then the gay tension started, and I dont want to look at that. I dont have a probmel with gay people as persons, but I do have a prolem with watching gay sex and gay behavior in general

it lasted all but 15 minutes....waste

i saw about 40mins of that movie and it felt like watching all LOTR movies...

I think Collin Farrell's sex tape is more worth watching.

If it's worse than Troy then it must be *very* bad.

I don't like how the story is laid. There is no spontinuity. Not to mention his tragic ending.

I hated Alexander. Horrible acting just like everyone said.. I got Troy a couple days ago. Going to watch it today :)

even sir A. Hopkins looked out of place in this one. What a waste of time and money this film is.

dude it's not like they fucked. They hugged a couple of times in a slightly manly way lol. Your average highschool football movie probably has more men touching each other.

Anyways the movie was absolute shite and yes Jolie's accent pissed me off almost as much as the shithouse "Romanian" ones in that crap Van Helsing movie. I couldn't believe how totally mindless and unaffecting it was.. Basically a good way to waste a couple of hours on a weekend morning with a hangover when you're too awake for sleep but too sick to concentrate on anything.

I don't know I watched it a second time and it seemed better. The directors cut version.

That was fuckin badass when he charged the elephant with his horse. Then when he got shot with an arrow his losing army cut a bloody path to save Alexander and win the battle.

Then after that he sees a smiling ghost Val Kilmer who was proud of his son.

After that it just got stupid. They said that Alexander's men poisoned him... I mean wtf is that? Should of just ended it there.
