Sirius???

So I go out and get the whole Sirius package today - and after setting it up and activating it, I can't get a signal into my office or anywhere on one side of my house...even the terrestrial signal
Has anyone else had problems like this?

mrmojo 08-07-2005 05:20 PM

You should have gotten XM

Sirius sucks.

Why, XM has the better equipment and better programming,
not to mention O & A.

Also, XM has thousands of ground repeaters to ensure a quality signal.

What does Sirius have....Martha Stewart?

I guess you forgot about Howard Stern coming in 4 months...

I've had Sirius for a year now, and I love it very much! I listen all day at work on the Internet feed, and in the car to and from the office. On the weekends I usually listen a few hours too... I never thought I'd pay for radio, but I bet that is what most people said before they got cable TV too...

exactly, i was told that back in the day-everyone insisted paying for 'TV' was the craziest thing they had ever heard, nowadays most people pay more for 'TV' then they do for their phone...

Go Sirius!!!

Go Sirius!!!

And if you break it down on a per day basis, $12.95/month is about 43 cents :2 cents: a day. I pay more than in tolls just to drive 10 miles on a highway to work, so to have access to over 100 commercial free radio stations for the entire day is quite a bargain in my opinion...

Basic_man 08-08-2005 02:06 PM

Sirius all the way ! I prefer the Sirius musical programmation over XM !

Ordo 08-08-2005 02:06 PM

I just got Sirius and it's pretty cool.

I have a real hard time getting the signal here at home as well.

I gave up trying to get it at home, and just keep the thing in the car only now.

Works really well there. Not sure why its such a pain in the house..

That antena has to be just perfect.. And it seems the signal shifts. Pain in the ass getting that angle just right.

FilthyRob 08-08-2005 02:11 PM

I listen to Sirius stations on my satalite system at home all the time. It's worth the money.

makefuckingmoney 08-08-2005 03:24 PM

Buy another one..i bought it at 2.00

thanks!

Mr. Mike 08-08-2005 04:03 PM

atcually Sirius is a million times better than XM. XM is ok if youre 90.

All I know is that when I bought the stock, IT DROPPED. so please don't return it for XM. (Even though that is what I have in my car) :Oh crap

simple simon 08-08-2005 04:04 PM

thanks bp, glad to hear it's not just me...yeah, i spent hours with that stupid antenna (yep, that's what i have, 3 piece), twisting it and tilting it and moving it...i finally ran the cable out the window and standing in one position, tilting it at a certain angle, i can get the signal. it's not particularly comfortable standing there for hours, though :1orglaugh
i think i'm going to get an extension cable and run the antenna to the other side of the house when i want to listen to it...don't want to bother running cable to the roof and mounting this shit-ass little antenna there, especially because then i can't take the boombox out to the pool, into the other room, etc. didn't think it was going to be this difficult...

oh, and why sirius over XM? three letters...NFL.....not to mention stern on the way....
