WarChild 08-07-2005 12:42 AM

I used to work for an older Jewish guy, baking Montreal style bagels in a wood burning oven for 12 hours a day, straight pay no overtime. We also had to pay for our beverages and food.

Mine was factory work in college. I worked at this place that sold industrial supplies (screws, bolts, etc). I'd walk down aisles, pull off these heavy boxes and weigh the product on the scale. You'd have to pull out handfuls of these screws and such that would just cut your fingers to shreds. Wearing gloves was next to impossible as you had to open a bag and peel stickers off. The grease would eventually get in the wounds and burn.

Oh yeah, it also was in factory with no AC. So in the summer, the metal roof was like a frying pan for us. And it paid for shit.

Antonio 08-07-2005 02:12 AM

don't know if it was the worst, but the one that I hated most was watering

people can be full of shit I'm telling you, they should give each waiter a gun and a 'kill 3 people a day' daily quota

I understand that it's different for them but after a full days work it can drive you crazy

I was a paper stuffer at a newspaper
my job was to take the adsvertising inserts for the newspaper and use these paint rollers to fold them in bulk (very few ever had already folded inserts for their ads), then when we'd run the B section of the newspaper, my job was to manually insert thee adverts into the newspapers. Then the A section would run and I'd have to manually stuff the B section into the A section. By the end of the night, I was totally covered in newsprint and it took forever to wash it all off in the shower. It was only a 3-day a week gig, but I would work 10-11 hour days with no overtime.

I used to work in a pickle plant. I packaged dill pickles. It took a few showers to get the smell off.

KRL 08-07-2005 02:33 PM

Managing a zipper mfg. factory in downtown LA. It was pretty much a sweat shop. We made 200,000 zippers a week for dress manufacters and women's apparel. Each one was quality tested (opened and closed prior to leaving the factory).

All mexicans worked there. It was grueling, repetitive, noisy as hell from all the assembly machinery running non-stop and incredibly monotoneous to put it mildly.

Godsmack 08-07-2005 02:34 PM

Working for another adult webmaster was my worste job ever..!

Working for the mafia as a Parking Lot Attendant.

I didn't enjoy being a cabdriver.
I did learn to hate other drivers (mostly women), I also learned to hate drunk women. My god how stupid women can be, they know the better route..
When a drunken women starts to hiccup, it won't be long before they throw up (fact). So when a woman starts to hiccup, I ask them politely if they'd like me to stop, and if not yet say when they do. They always get fucking pissed off at me, "HOW DARE YOU JUDGE ME" bla bla bla, and then they throw up in the back seat before the ride is over, and don't tip.
Overall I learned to hate people.

JayJay 08-08-2005 02:31 AM

Pizza Delivery Guy then moved on to Stuffing Envelopes

Jakke PNG 08-08-2005 02:34 AM

I also was a 'security guard' at grocerystores. You know, watch that people don't steal stuff. I learned to hate drugaddicts and gypsies. They both steal a lot more than the general population and both threat to have me killed by the end of my shift if I call the cops, well.. apparently they're empty threats since I'm still here.
But getting deaththreats atleast twice a week isn't worth $8/hour.

BiggleJones 08-08-2005 02:34 AM

I worked at poetry.com for 3 months about 5 years ago. Bunch of uptight Heebs breathing down my back all the time, when my work was always done before everyone else. They even banned us from play Solitare on our lunch break "incase" one of the owners walked by and thought that we were slacking.

As soon as my spam checks started matching my paychecks, I told em go fuck themselves.

Worst Job Ever!

So far I've been happy with each job I've 'lost'.

I quitted being security guard, bad pay, bad job, I hated it.

I was a driver for a car spare-parts dealer, lost my job when they went bankrupt, and I got into college a week later. No regrets.

I lost my cabdriving job, when I lost my license for 3 months for speeding. Best thing ever happened, went fulltime in porn.

I had two horrible jobs. First was telelemarketing. There is nothing more humiliating than calling strangers up and having to sell something. Plus they have quotas to meet and if you don't meet them you get fired.

Second was as a customer service rep over the phone. I really HATE talking to people, any job that consists of dealing with the general public is STRESSFUL. Plus as with all jobs, they have strict quotas of how much work you have to process (calls), and how accurate your work is, and if you do anything wrong at all you get written up. Same shit everyday 8 hours a day, at times I felt like I could't breathe and wondered what the point of life was since most of it consisted of going to work.

Plus customer service was rough for me because sometimes people would get REALLY irate, and I got yelled at a lot and sometimes people would just give me a hard time and keep me on the phone for a LONG time and screw up my productivity and quotas . You aren't supposed to take it pesonally, and it's lame but there were numerous times where I actually went to my car during break and I would used to CRY because someone gave me too much of a hard time and I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. And other times I would go to the bathroom and cry, it was a horrible job!! You get yelled and cussed out all the time, and some people are like attorneys, they ask you thousands of very hard to answer questions and it's just very stressful. Other people just talk to you condescendingly or they are in a bad mood and just take it out on you.

Another horrible job was with the same co but in a different department. I felt as if my boss didn't like me and I would get written up by QC all the time for clerical work. It wasn't that I was necessarily wrong, it was stuff that wasn't black or white but could be interpreted differently, and i felt as if I couldn't argue for my actions because my boss wasn't on my side.

Working 9-5 mostly sucks and I used to pray and pray that I could get out of the cycle, which I finally did.

Wiggles 08-08-2005 04:31 AM

working for TW Cable NYC is the worst ever!

Murderous 08-08-2005 04:40 AM

I worked on a dairy farm for a year and a half. = Shitty Job

I worked in a heat treat plant just before I got into the adult biz. Was there for just over a year. My duties included running (4) 1600 degree Dow furnaces (HOT!) pushing and pulling about 800+ pounds worth of metal parts in and out of the machine for 8 straight hours a day, no overtime. Paid good and I got built big as shit.
Ended up with a back injury, now I am here.

You know, I am sure you are a sweet girl, but you have issues. You need to start standing up for yourself and don't let people get you down. From the quote above it sounds like you have a hard time dealing with people that talk down to you... FUCK THEM. You are better than that, stand tall and puff out your breasts.

TOO STRONG!

blazin 08-08-2005 05:31 AM

Telemarketing while I was at Uni.. the girls made it worthwhile though.. Especially this busty chick that I ended up fucking.
