How do I access server stats..
I use paycounter & today I noticed quite a spike in traffic on a particular site (over 400% traffic increase) & the referer stats don't show up in paycounter , ( & I don't believe the results) so I'd like to check the server stats , I've never tried checking server stats & don't know how it's done..lol , I don't even know If I need anything to install to get the #s either? Do I?

any real helpful input is appreciated...

hint: talk to your host's support...

I just showed your sites to my friends which explains the peak, so dont bother about the stats

It depends on your host.
If it's a free host, then good luck.. I'm not sure any have real stats.
If it's a pay host, they probably already have a stats page set up for you. Email them and ask if that's so, and if so, get the URL from them.
If they don't have one set up, then you need to find out if you have access to you "access_log" file.
If you do, then you'll need to install a Log Anaylsis script to process is.
If you don't, then talk to your host about getting access to it. Without it, you won't get any stats.

I think that covers it.. but then, I am slightly drunk and in the middle of packing :)

Just dont check in on your stats as often as most people do because $5.99 will get to ya...
