I wast just looking for one domain in google and instead of this i found web stats for all virtual users on some webair server:
http://stats3.webair.com/
Please dont tell me, that i should let them know first. i am already tired of all these shitty response, like "we will repair it asap" and nothing happens then.

oh, yeah and this is my first small drama thread on GFY, probably time to install sig. :winkwink:

tony286 08-06-2005 09:26 AM

Been with WebAir and they have been rock solid for me and Web mike is a straight up guy.

Walrus 08-06-2005 03:58 PM

All you have to do is put /stats at the end of any WebAir hosted domain and you can find the stats. You have to ask them personally to password protect your domain. I have been having issues with my virutal account lately. One, my logs don't show where the surfer came from before visiting my site. It just shows their IP and a bunch of other useless crap.

And my site has been excessivlely slow at times and they weren't able to help with this either. I signed up with them in March and I pleased up until lately. They need to better their raw logs, because why should I stay with them if I can get better logs and faster speeds elsewhere?

bo yeah!! thanks for this. :thumbsup

webair 08-06-2005 04:09 PM

guys there about 90 virtual server clusters ... those are mad old and have been secured from prying eyes...all clients have the ability to pass protect their stats via webair proprietary cp at the click of a button...some chose not to as they prefer their stats to be public for various reasons. If you have any questions or commenst feel free to contact me.

If what you say is true, if they prefer to keep their statistics public, then why did you "secure" them "from prying eyes" now?

You seem to have a knack for lying when it benefits you, that is my impression at least after reading the occasional WebAir thread.

Yea some clients, but most of them want to have them protected - as in not viewable for the public.. :2 cents:

Hmm. I noticed that too just now when I checked my /stats on one of my domains that isn't password protected. It gave me a 404. I figured something might have just been temporarily wrong, but now that you say this maybe they did change that after this controversial thread.

I do want to repeat to everyone that I have been happy with WebAir until now. They're support is always there when you need them. Mike, I will email you that info tomorrow. Also, do you think there's any chance that WebAir will update and better it's raw logs so that it shows not only the IP address, but the web site the surfer clicked through to get to my web site?

Cheers,
- Walrus
