What are kickass restaurants inside, or near the Westin Diplomat?
Something with good seafood, good pasta, good steak, etc.
or maybe a nice chinese place? would anybody know? |
well there's PF Changs around there somewhere, can't remember where tho
and also a really cool Greek place a few blocks down the road, i ate there 3 years ago LOL |
the greek place is great, they have dancing on the tables while you eat, dinner and entertainment (not erotic dancers)
|

We ended up at Chili's a few hours ago... couldn't find anything else.
|
only thing in walking distance is the 7-11 where you can dine on cold ham and cheese sandwiches.
Have the cab driver take you to Popeye's chicken and HAVE HIM WAIT FOR YOU or you will be standing out there forever trying to get another cab. |
Pf Changs is in Aventura right near there I think, Cheesecake factory is in the mall. Tons of places near there.
|
drive 20mins south, and you will hit south beach.
|
Go south, across from Trump Grand is a sushi bar - Sumo Sushi, it's in a small plaza on the west side of A1A.
17630 Collins Ave, (305) 682-1243 4 mins from the Westin |
Take a cab to Los Olas Blvd. Mark's is awesome!
|
the Metro Buffet. Just go to the beach and walk out to the sandbar with your friends around dusk and you will be good to go:)...
seriously just enter the address here http://maps.yahoo.com/ and it will show you what's in the area have fun. |
Nando's (quaint Italian place not far from the hotel).
We just got back from there and it was simply amazing. Great pasta, meat and seafood. The staff is all Italian, so it's the real deal :) Hell, Nando came and picked us up himself... and brought us back. Be warned though, he is one crazy fucking driver! |
we ended up ordering chinese food to our room
tomorrow we will try something different! |
ate at the restraunt inside the westin tonight with jay and the rest of the guys from occash.

Great Seafood and steaks with a great bar is Flannigans right down the road and you will thank me.
|
Taverna Opa is also a good idea, waterfront dining.
I still say Sumo Sushi though. Ask for Chris. |
I had a craving for pizza last night and found Tony's NYC Style Pizza about 3 blocks south on A1A on the west side of the street. Open till 3 AM.
|
Opa is good but extremely loud ;)
