can you make an image clickable as a stand alone image?

like just the image without being on an html page?

I dont think thats possible. But what are you going to use the pic for?

There is a program and it has nothing to do with any Jesus.

Here's how you do it

1) Build a flash file using the still graphic you want clickable
2) activate hyperlink in flash behind graphic so the graphic is clickable
3) Save as .swf file -- depending on the newsbrowser of the user, it may be viewable without having to d/l any macromedia files

I'm experimenting right now with fucking around the images source code to see if it's possible..
The goal for me is for the jpg or gif to remain as a clickable link after it is downloaded onto the users harddrive..

this is impossible... you need either html source OR a properly-configured httpd behind the image to do that... once you save it as JPG, it's just JPG...

Actually this will not go past scripts....
cause they check if the pictures work and if they are over 20k or so...

But what you are doing is making a very small file with a picture on it...

Maybe I can do it via .swf with out the .swf extension showing & have .jpg show as the extension instead, but .swf would dramatically increase the file size..

He can do all the server config, setup, maintenance, etc;
& I do the website & promotion & site maintenance, pages, etc..
