ePassPort Question!

I'm a little confused about ePassport. Is this similiar to a Paypal thing? If someone transfers money to my ePassport account, can I transfer that to my bank account? I could'nt find any info about this on their website?

Thanks!!!

all i know is it rocks. i get paid with it and it spends like cash.

yes you can. Initially it is set up so you can ONLY withdraw $300/day to your bank account. You can ask for an increase and they will send you a form to fill out and you can fill in the blank for daily withdraw amount. They approved my increase but I have heard a few other people say they couldnt get their limit raised. Maybe they were not in the US?

Hmmmm - that sounds like a crock of shit to me. If someone sends me 20K and I want to transfer 15K to my bank, I don't want to have to jump thru a bunch of hoops to get this done! I'll email the ePassport people and confirm this before I bail on the idea of using them though - thanks!

You have to confirm you identity if you have more than $5K in your account.
For large amounts you should really talk to support first to get your account confirmed and limits raised.

Yea... I know it's like Paypal in that respect. I have a Paypal Mastercard that I can use to pay for shit with and it sucks the money out of my Paypal account. But Paypal will also let me transfer funds from that account to my bank without any problems. I'm trying to find out of ePassport does the same thing.

I did a google search and found several discussion boards where people seemed pissed that they couldn't transfer money to the bank account from ePassport. The threads were a year old so I was just wondering if EP is offering this service now?

I sent them an email - will keep ya' posted :thumbsup

Thanks Fletch!

Sure if you do site sites and do not deal with large figures at one time.

If you are in the US you can transfer to your bank account but its only for US account holders. I am not in the US but I heard it takes 3-4 days.

Yeah no large amounts always stay under $5K no reason to give them more info than necessary

Well I don't know....I feel like I'm getting the run-around with these folks. Their reply is the standard cut-n-paste type thing but still didn't give me the info that I wanted. I asked about the difficulty of transfering money from ePassport to my bank account and they said...."account limit inreases (i.e. transfers and withdraws) are reviewed on a case-by-case basis."

I'm not sure exactly what that means though. Does that mean that I might not be able to transfer money to my bank account? Does that mean that I may only be able to transfer "some" money to my bank account? Would be nice to get a straight answer without having to read between the lines to understand how they operate. Jeeeez :(

Your a couple of weeks late.
If this has happened before ePassporte and Paycom split up Rand would have been here giving you straight answers but no once since the announcement have I seen anyone from the new ePassporte on any of the boards.

Try calling them ask for a supervisor.

EddiePulp 08-05-2005 05:19 PM

exactly like paypal.. except you have a virtual cc bound to the account and if you want a physical debt card.
