Best Shipping Option For Sending Overseas?
Hello All -
For those of you who send out tangible goods to non-US customers: What shipping method do you use? I have been using the USPS but their options are pretty limited for what they offer as far as tracking, delivery time and cost. Thanks. |
Fed-ex is the way to go if you've got the cash. Not too expensive, cost me $150 to get a guitar shipped overnight from the U.S to the U.K.

got several shipments from US to central Europe and here is what I know
USPS - the best choise comparing price/delivery time absolutely no problem to get the stuff here , takes 7 days using option with tracking number UPS - the best choise for fastest possible delivery expensive , really fast but absolutely without any problem Fedex - terrible choise very complicated communication , absolutely not flexible company |
Thanks, the thing is fedex & ups are expensive for the customers. I am shipping dvds. (So they pay the shipping) Ive been using USPS because of the price, but I want to know if theres something else out there.

Sending DVD's with Fedex shouldnt be that expensive :2 cents:

Sending via UPS or FedEx internationally is almost an automatic hold up at customs. You can expect an import tax randomly and most customers who are charged that tax from customs will refuse the package. Australia, as well as countries in Asia and Europe, see import tax as a stream of revenue for the government and pursue it aggressively.
With USPS they assume the delivery is domestic mail, and not business related, and rarely ever check :thumbsup Get hit by customs a few times and realize what an extreme pain in the ass it is, not to mention loss of income :pimp |

Paying customers that want your product will either not pay the customs duty and return the item, or will never buy from you again knowing they'll have to pay almost double for the item after the customs tax, and customs processing fee, are paid. FedEx and UPS are red flags to pull items for inspection, even when you're doing everything correctly. Take it for what it is I guess :pimp |
