Why do people in our industry

Run around and try as hard as they can to discredit, destroy and slander other people's business/deals when it has no direct link to them?

If the deal/business is not competing with you, and has nothing to do with you or your company, why is it necessary to try to fuck things up?

And it's not about personal grudges; random people just do it to others for no apparent reason...

Does it have something to do with how 'cool' you can look to other people? If that's the case, did'nt we grow out of that in High School?

i don't know.

Because they're usually dishonest at heart as well.

Success probably bothers those without it, so those bothered try and ruin it.

That's my guess.

It's easy to sit on your ass and bring someone down to or lower than your level... than it is to work hard to match or surpass someone else's level.

It's an immature way to help you feel better about yourself.... by finding a way to make someone worse than you, rather than make yourself better than them.

You would think so, but there are a lot of "floating voters" on here, the many surfers who will look at anything, and all the webmasters who don't have enough traffic or a good enough sales pitch to sell too well, but think that if they change sponsors their fortunes will change. Many of them are probably kids who do get off on this bullsh*t and let's face it, there aren't too many people here using any other method.

The small-time sig whores are probably wasting their time, but I don't doubt the sponsors who go this route get lots of signups from their games on here. I'm sure very few of these new affiliates generate much money, but in total it adds up for some. Of course, in the process they repel a lot of the more experienced affiliates, but then most of those don't change sponsors too often and those who use this approach are usually fronting third-rate programs with little solid appeal anyway.

i think people do it to make themselves feel better and try to gain a following. But reality is, if your following is nothing but sheaparded sheep... then there's nothing to feel good about.

Look what it has done for Eminem and 50 cent and all the other shitty rappers...
