My younger sister is a junkie (sad story)
 

I am sad to say but my sister has been using needles. I bonded her out of jail a couple months ago. Her bond was $4000 and i went threw a bailbonds man and only paid $400. I didnt know she shot up at the time that i bonded her out. i knew she did drugs but i didnt think that hardcore. Anywayz....i started to have a feeling that she didnt want to show up to court and she has to because then i would get stuck with a $4,000 bill. So, she did show up to court and the judge asked her is she has a drug problem and she said "yes". The judge was not the type to have trust in junkies to show up to rehab on their own so he had her put in jail untill a bed is available in the rehab that she is court ordered to go to. I know that junkies dont quit unless they want to. i guess i never really cared untill i found out my sister is a junkie. I was so scared to get a phone call telling me she ODed off of some shit. I feel so bad my little sister is in jail but i think that its better than her being at her house shooting up with her piece of shit boyfriend she has. But now i just have to wait and see if she gets off drugs.
She now looks very pale and skinny as you can see here . I think it's so fucked up because she is so pretty and smart and could have done something good in her life but she rather kill herself by pumping that shit into her vain.

Thats what i'm going to do but she doesnt want to talk to be because she feels like it's my fault she went to jail... those damn drugs are very powerfull.... i didnt know someone could be so blinded by them :(

Sorry to hear that and I hope that she can be cleaned up but like you said she has to really want it and right now it's not sounding like she is ready

I will tell you a funny story to brighten your day..

A long time ago i had this friend , we were hanging at his place one day when he mentioned he used to have a sister but she turned into a junkie and ran away from home..

he showed me her room , and all her shit. Then he opened this wierd chinese box and pulled out this tinfoil ball and said " she left this huge ball of heroin here " and unwrapped it.. I picked up the ball and instantly recognized the brown hard goodness of lebanese hash haha i was like " you fool this isn't heroin this is hash " we smoked it all day in the park then sold some and split the rest ( it lasted a long time )

if it was heroin it would have been worth a ton :( , not that i would know who to sell it to but...

well.... i dont do drugs but i do smoke weed. And, i wouldn't mind a nice hit from that hash right about now. That was kind of a funny story. i just wish my sister did more hash instead of heroin...

unfortunately she wont kick her habbits until she really wants to. No judge enforced treatment will stick. She has to hit rock bottom first.

uhm... not be be mean on your day or sorrow but... weed is a drug.

heh possesion of methadone ,xanax , valiums and weed.. she sure likes her downers.. i think she is missing an upper in there...

But seriously.. go to her next court appearance , get her out of jail ASAP, she is likely doing more drugs in jail than out of jail.. whatever the case , jail can't do anything for her but cause her more grief and likely in the end cause her to do more drugs..

Whatever you do , get her out of jail and away from the court system.. THEN

go rent a cheap apartment, pref. far away from any downtown core..

Fill a room with bottled water and canned tunafish and shit.. board up the windows, invite her over , lock her in , dont let her out for anything for 30 days..

if she relapses , do it again but for 60 days.. keep adding 30 days everytime she relapses. Eventually she will quit.. most likely after the first or second time..

oh, she's been in rock bottom for a while now. i just hope that little time in jail will help her clear her mind and allow her to think normally for the first time in years. hopefully

yes i know.... what i mean is the weed isnt mixed with different chemicals like coke, heroin, crack, pcp, lsd and all that other shit.... beer is worste then weed.

Seems like the key to most rehabs is long term support. If her BF and friends are all junkies she might stay clean for a month at most after rehab. She needs to get out of that town and just start over.

For once we agree. I saw the pic, then noticed the DOB and had to go back to look. You should hand her a mirror, because yeah, she could be hot if she was clean, but that is easier said than done.

I am readily familiar with the situation, and the odds are not in her favor. The problem is, it is such a good drug, and the shit they give you to help you quit just changes the addiction. For the rest of her life she will at least think about it once in a while.

BTW, bailing her out in the first place was above and beyond the call of duty. Let them O-R out. They don't want to keep their jails full of people awaiting trial. She would have been out in a day anyhow.

Makes me wonder if this is her first arrest or is it just really dry out there.

Don't worry everything will be fine and alright, I believe that she had learned her lesson...And I know someday she could have a better life and better self...

I smoked more weed in jail than i do on the outside :) and there was more hard drugs than you can shake a stick at.( but i dont do those )

Ofcourse we'll stick by her. We will never give up. hopefully she'll get clean and stay clean.



It's more than very tough. it's 5:25am here and i still dont feel tired and cant sleep. And i'll always be there for her, whether she hates me or not.


She is getting help. The court is sending her to DrugCorp. i hear its a good in-patient rehab. So i'll keep my fingers crossed.

Seriously. As someone who has dealt with a hardcore alcoholic I can tell you that jail, rehab, injuries, no memory of their actions and the affect they have on family means very little to them when they have nothing on their mind but that next bottle :(

A very sad situation..My ex was a junkie ,she smoked heroin.After countless times and 25 k to try and help her kick the shit,I gave up..she died a year after .

I've had 3 close family members drop off into the world of Meth.
From what your saying she sounds like she is far from hitting rock bottom.
She still has a bf, a place to crash at and family support (money, food, rides etc..)
When a bunch of YOUR stuff comes up gone with no explinations and your bank account is empty from helping out with court costs and fines etc... then she will be getting close to hitting bottom.
As others have stated nothing can be done until SHE is ready to clean up.
While your looking out for her well being she is concerned with nothing but the next fix.
Cut her off, tell how much you care and that your not going to help until she's cleaned up.
Tough love, it sucks but sometimes thats what you have to do.
