LA Producers: Can anyone recommend a good hotel for shooting in the Los Angeles area?
 

My needs are basic: Roomy enough for a small crew, hotel staff won't ask a lot of questions as long as the noise isn't bad after 10 pm, etc...

As far as 818 locs goes, I'm looking for a hotel, not a house. I have that site bookmarked. I may IM Joe, though. The only hotel I know of in SoCal that will encourage porn (or any biz) is the Wigwam in San Berdoo (a bit far to travel, though... Plus, how many scenes can you shoot that are set in a teepee?)

some of the boutique hotels in venice are nice.

expensive, but unusual.

when shooting smut that converts you want to avoid the ubiquitous motel 8 look.

i think the standard downtown would work..

The Standard on Sunset is good too.
