Any economists in here who can predict....

When $1 will become equal value to 1 euro ?

I think Thomas van de Koch knows George Soros so you can ask him

It prolly wont ever. USA has inflated the money supply so much over the past 2 years that I'm surprised 1 euro isn't = to $2 USD.

2008?

Notwithstanding my B.S. in Economics (I also have a Master's in Public Administration, and have supervised brokers trading currencies and options on currencies), I am not qualified to "predict", but can only guess --- I'll take a stab at it by "guessing" it'll happen in 2008.

I really don't think its will ever happen.

thats a tough one but it will take some time

I'd say in 3-5 years. Will it stay that way? That is the real question.

When the US had the deficit under control 1 dollar was worth more then 1 Euro. Either Europe had to go into serious debt or the USA needs to get its debt under control. When that happen they will swing past each other again.

I?d say it will be about 5 to 10 years after Dubya?s way of life leaves office but that?s only if his brother doesn?t get elected.

I agree. Until the deficit gets under control, the chances of it hitting 1:1 is slim to none. It would definately be after this administration ends, since one of the benefits of a stronger US dollar traveling outside the United States. The current administration wants to keep you from traveling the world and seeing it's rather nice outside it's borders.
