They cloned a sheep and called it Dolly. The thing just dropped dead a few years later and ended up as Sunday roast.

I would assume that pharmaceutical companies are against cloning for many reasons. One being the possiblity of the erradication of many chronic illnesses which would cut down on a need or dependence on prescription drugs. Just like other large industries that don't like competition, they will crush and stifle any threat to their well being instead of doing what is right for people.

The whole concept of cloning has too many implications that I find very disturbing.

Y'know, over 20 years ago I wrote and drew a graphic novel about cloning. It was called "The RADREX". It was optioned for film again a few years ago and this year I think it's gonna get the green light. I can only imagine what chick they'll get to play the topless hottie who the villain wants to clone just before the kung-fu skateboard mutant combat scene.
