Internext Miami - Computer access?
 

Besides the business office in the hotel (65 cents per minute, 10 minute minimum), is there any computer access at the show?

DSL in the room is $10/day. That would be cool except I don't have a laptop.

I'm hoping there is some sponsored access.

They said there is wireless all over the hotel, but if it's anything like the last hotel avn hosts at it won't be worth a shit for speed.

I doubt he will pack his desktop nor lug it around so that really does no good for him. :winkwink:

In the "good old days" sponsors would have banks of computer set up where you could go and check your stats, web based email, etc. I don't THINK I've seen that at the last couple of Internext shows, but I could be wrong.

If worse comes to worse just ask someone at a booth who has one if you can borrow theirs - I did that for years before I carried my laptop with me :)

Hrmm, I remember back to '99 in NOLA and I didn't see anything like that at shows, but then again I rarely hit the floor. Anyway I missed the part about him not having a laptop, but I am sure many people will have them there and if they can even connect they would be happy to let him borrow one for a few minutes.

Yeah, the computer banks were on the show floors. Traffic Cash had one for years, IIRC.

Damn, sorry I missed those then, would have been easier than taking our own laptops...lol

I bet 1 out of every 2 people will have a laptop. Just ask someone if you can use there's for a couple minutes while you check up on all of your stuff.

I bought my laptop specifically for shows and other trips. You can get a decent one for a relatively good price. I think mine was $1,100.
