What's the best anti-virus software?

what do you using? please recommand me good one.

Rui 08-03-2005 02:42 PM

Well while I hate all thier other products Norton AntiVirus does it for me, regular updates, doesn't use many resources (unlike NOD32 and Kaspa...something lol)

Machete_ 08-03-2005 02:43 PM

Trend-micro www.antivirus.com

dready 08-03-2005 02:43 PM

Panda Active Scan Pro:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/product..._principal.htm

This thing cleans all the shit Norton and McAffee can't touch... plus it runs off the net. There is a free ver and a pro ver that does spyware and everything else for $8.99/6mos.

E Guru 08-03-2005 02:44 PM

Kaspersky

VicD 08-03-2005 02:44 PM

If i was using just norton antivirus, id probably be okay

but im using norton internet security and ive had to re-install it about 5 times. its bugged to the hilt and conflicts with so many programs. its fucking annoying. they need to fix their shit.

I bet to differ and say that Kaspersky is the real memory hog...with NA is you have a decent spec pc you will not notice any slowdowns, while with Kaspersky that doesn't happen

samsam - Stay away from any of those products man, NA is the only one worth. For firewall checkout Outpost (nice, clean, light :) )

JuiceMonkey 08-03-2005 02:52 PM

can't go wrong using that slut norton

Your Mothers Secret 08-03-2005 03:05 PM

Kaspersky gets things out that Norton doesn't even know exists.

Downtime 08-03-2005 03:07 PM

i've been using mcafee for a few years now, works great

VeriSexy 08-03-2005 04:47 PM

Man that girl in your sig is damn hot :thumbsup

loverboy 08-03-2005 05:05 PM

Norton just eats too much memory, used the apps for 2 yrs. straight.
until i decided to switch to Trend Micro, no turning back

:smokin

Wiggles 08-03-2005 05:07 PM

Trend Micro and Kaspersky are the best in my opinion, rest just block everything to the point that you don't have internet anymore, and require you keep paying for updates that miss every virus out there it seems.

I've seen it clean viruses that made Norton and McAffe take a shit... that sells it in my books.

I don't think anything can't touch Panda's products.

I've been using Trend Micro (on 10 PCs) for over 2 years. I liked Norton back in the day, but I believe Symantec has lost touch with its customers. Just my :2 cents:.
