Fuck Vegas: Toronto Is Officially THE NORTH AMERICAN CAPITAL OF SIN!

"A savvy Rochester hipster can have an escort and an ounce of genuine "BC Bud" waiting for them at their Toronto hotel upon check-in. Though lacking an official European-style red light district, T-Dot's booming cannabis café and lady-for-hire industries are easily accessible."

http://www.rochester-citynews.com/gb...oid=oid%3A3699

Apparently, leave the guns at home and c'mon up. First the porn industry started to relocate here, and now we're officially the hottest spot in north america for sex and weed.

Americans are all welcome here.

How can a city in Ontario that's providing BC grown bud be "the hottest spot in north america for sex and weed."? I don't know about the sex part, but it seems to me that Vancouver is still the hot spot for weed.

JuiceMonkey 08-03-2005 12:29 PM

Anybody who says that Vegas is the hottest spot for the sex industry is very ignorant. The sex industry in Vegas is extremely weak by Canadian standards. It is comprised of frauds and undercover cops. You can end up paying $500+ for a lap dance or get arrested.

Toronto has arguably the best escort scene in North America, Montreal would be a close second due to their low prices and late hours. Can't beat the variety in Toronto and the professionalism of the agencies.

No way - Vancouver is way ahead of TO when it comes to adult liberties.

Vancouver was selling hardcore videos/movies/mags many years before TO started.

As for the bud... It is called BC Bud (apparently)!

Montreal is up there with Vancouver for sure. But not to put TO down (my home town after all) - all of these cities are world class and when we hear about *some* countries going off the deep end with simple nudity (as in 'nipple slips' on TV) we are glad we don't live in banana republics when it comes to free speech and civil liberties (that is actually practised - not just theoretical rhetoric).

We are all rooting for the FSC gang - sounds like it was a job well done the other day!

:)

TO?? NOTHING compares to the ISLAND CITY!! MTL is crazy!

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

candyflip 08-04-2005 08:18 AM

You guys have to see that this is an article written for a Rochester newspaper.

That ferry I posted FAILED on it first attempt at operating. The company went under and the city of Rochester ponied up $40 Million to buy out the company.

So we're PAYING for it and this article is just to get people onto the Ferry. Keep that in mind. It might not be Vancouver, but it's NOT Rochester :winkwink:

This article is just hype to get people on something that their own tax dollars are already paying for. Sex and drugs sounds like more fun that Casinos and Waterfalls...which are only an hour away from Rochester.

I'm a big fan of it and have already put it to use. It goes both ways too...it's not so bad down here. If you're into wine, this area is tops on the East Coast. Some of your tax dollars went into the initial startup, put it to use :thumbsup

ricks 08-04-2005 10:19 AM

The problem with Montreal is there are too many crazy Arabs, both on the roads and in the bars. Quebec has an open immigration policy for foreigners that speak french and unfortunately the only foreigners that speak french that want to move to Quebec happen to be from war torn Arab countries like Lebannon or Aids infested black countries like Haiti and from along the Western Africa coast.

Vancouver is a rip off!
