Ways to improve reading SPEED? Power reading?

I've come to the conclusion that i have to improve my reading speed. My current reading speed simply won't cut it anymore, since there's more and more shit i need to absorb each and every day. What i hate most, is that books, studies, tutorials, manuals, whitepapers, etc. are made up of 70% bullshitting and 30% pure knowledge.
A great way to overcome this problem would be if we all used eBooks(no more stacks of paper and books all over the house and in our handbags) and had the ability to select our 'level of knowledge' on the subject of the document about to be read BEFORE reading it. The eBook's software would then ELIMINATE specific parts of the book, according to the LEVEL selected by the user. But until we banish paper for good and move to 100% digital and one of you jump on this idea to make it happen :upsidedow i need a somewhat quick fix.

-Anyone here a fast reader?
-what works for you?
-Power reading? is it any good? Anyone practice it?

Spam me with whatever you have to say about this subject...

I can speedread.... the trick is in picking keywords. Just from being on the internet for so long and then learning to cram (they have classes in college for it) I have learned over the years to burn through a page in no time.

It's something I picked up over time and practice... you just need to start dropping words and speeding up a sentence by looking for select words.

I still prefer reading paperbacks because I'm a slow reader.
