How to ''secure'' uploads ( pics )

So, You are uploading hunderd sets of content, you are off to watch some tv or go to the shop. You come back and notice the upload has stopped after the 5th set. I hate when this happens, you lose a lot of time this way. Even when you are working and the upload is running at your left screen and every 20/25 minutes you have to select all the sets again in order to get your upload running again.

How to ''secure'' uploads so that it automatic restarts when disconnect or continues after a error.

Owh and I use SmartFTP.

Thanks,
:thumbsup

wsftp pro is what I use
it even resumes after you reboot, I love it, you can either choose the option to resume automatically upon connection or set it for manual resume

yeah you beat me to it - i use ws_ftp pro 2006 and i love it. bump for an imformative thread because i know every fuckin webmaster has this problem

dready 08-03-2005 10:07 AM

I use cuteftp... it's multi threaded. Even if one thread dies, the others keep going.. then you just resend the ones that had a problem. Saves the headache you're talking about.

most ftp clients will reconnect and resume...using flash fxp here - great product

LeechFTP is great. I use it all the time. It resumes, multithreads, has an easy to use interface, etc.
