Anyone Been to/know the Bahamas?

3 women getting away from the hubbies and kids. Looking for just a quick 3 or 4 night trip. The bahamas is close for us East Coasters, but none of us know it at all.

We had the Atlantis booked, but cancelled because we heard it was a lot of families...(NOT that there is anything wrong with that!). Just not what my friend who is getting away from her infant twins has in mind..;)

We just want a nice spot on the beach-MUST have a swim up bar, little bit of nightlife would be great.

Thoughts?

Shap could probably advise, but I think he's in Miami right now...

I've been around the whole island ... believe me, Atlantis is where you want to be.

Hey, i have been to the Bahamas a bunch of times. I do not goto Atlantas too many people! If you want a good place to go and relax, goto the Crystal Palace in Nassau!!

Just so not into having the kids around. My friend's Husband is sending us so she can get away from them for a bit. We are leaving the week after their first bday-she really needs to kick back and rock out. All she wants is a swim up bar with no kids around.

Also try, i think it is called "The Sands" it is a couple hotels over from the Crystal Palace and i believe it is an all inclusive "Adult Only" hotel, i believe they do not allow kids. Don't quote me on that one, but i would check it out

Acrually, next year is going to be great the Crystal Palace Hotel & Casino, and the Cable Beach Resort were bought over by the same people and they are going to be remodeling and combining the two places into one HUGE resort, they said it should be ready early next year!!

We stayed at the RYU recently (which is right beside Atlantis on Paradise Island). It's all exclusive and the food is not bad. I would highly recommend to upgrade to a suite instead of the regular rooms.

It's the best of both worlds as it's right beside Atlantis and you can go over and gamble and also not break your bank on the ridiculous prices on food and such over there as it's included at the RYU.

Just my 2 cents :)
