Do you vote?

Why?

____

mardigras 08-03-2005 04:46 AM

Yes, because if you don't, yet complain about your government you are a hipocrite :upsidedow

AdPatron 08-03-2005 04:51 AM

Who says you have to complain?

BellaSeaira 08-03-2005 04:57 AM

Depends on what i am voting for.

OG LennyT 08-03-2005 05:11 AM

You don't have to complain. You can be a complete sheep and let your government commit abuse while your friends, family and neighbors remain in the dark, often re-electing the same abusers. I just choose not to do so. Anyone within my realm that votes for an abuser of their power does so with facts in hand. I can live with that more than knowing they voted that way out of not knowing :upsidedow

wildgirl 08-03-2005 09:28 AM

Yes I do, because it's my right as a Citizen :)

Downtime 08-03-2005 09:29 AM

yep and I almost always vote republican

Nazgrel 08-03-2005 09:31 AM

Yes I do, becouse it's my duty as a Citizen :)

QuaWee 08-03-2005 09:41 AM

I started voting last year, and it was a complete waste of time

Brujah 08-03-2005 09:43 AM

I'm not sure I'll bother anymore.

cykoe6 08-03-2005 09:53 AM

Yes of course I do.

2257-Ben 08-03-2005 10:54 AM

Best graphitti I ever saw was on a red brick building on Preble St. in downtown Portland, ME... "If voting ever really made a difference it would be illegal."

TheJimmy 08-03-2005 10:56 AM

absolutely, so I have more justification in the bitching process when something needs bitching about...

:thumbsup

tristan_D 08-03-2005 08:57 PM

I do because its my noble responsibilty as a citizen. voting gives you the right to bitch around.

Spunky 08-03-2005 08:59 PM

Because it's your right..don't bitch about politics if you don't even vote

jscott 08-03-2005 09:37 PM

i vote only because my family has always been political, so i ask my dad and grandparents who to vote for and go vote for who they say

....and btw, they/we are demo's

rickholio 08-03-2005 09:52 PM

Of course. In all elections: Federal, provincial and municipal.

"Those who don't do politics will be done in by politics."

blackfeet 08-03-2005 10:06 PM

i vote for stuff like legalizing pot and drugs.

PixeLs 08-03-2005 11:04 PM

Don't fine and you wear a fine.

Voting is not just a right, it's an obligation. We live in a democratic society and it's important for EVERY voice to be heard.

Wanna know why idiots like GW get elected? Because Republicans vote...nearly all of them. The voice of the young, educated, open-minded citizens of your country need to be hard too and the opinion that 'my vote doesn't count anyway so why bother?' is just pathetic.

tony286 08-03-2005 11:31 PM

I vote because if you dont you lose that right.

webcrawler 08-03-2005 11:39 PM

Yes, because if i don't somebody else will vote for me.

So true.
I met people who complain about anything and everything. Then I ask them who they voted on instead.... "I did not vote" ... doooh! Have they ever thought of instead of whining, they could change it by voting?
Its not only a right, its also a duty. Otherwise... shut up IMO :error

what if you dislike all of the candidates...

je_rome 08-04-2005 01:03 AM

of course i do! coz i want my voice to be heard.

SpeedoDave 08-04-2005 01:07 AM

No matter where I am in the world I always vote - obviously often it is postal.

The number of people who have died over the last 500 years for that right makes me feel obligated to ensure that I vote.

If you don't vote then you have no grounds to complain if the government fuck things up.

Sarah_Jayne 08-04-2005 02:26 AM

in two different countries and go to a good deal of effort to do it in the states..i always vote

naugthygUrL 08-04-2005 02:32 AM

yep..because i want to vote

Stamen 08-04-2005 03:17 AM

I vote because I can.

JuiceMonkey 08-04-2005 03:30 AM

because we are lucky enough to live in a country where our vote does count, you voting is also usually a chain reaction the more people who DO vote the better a country is.

Yes I believe in that crap.

reed_4 08-04-2005 03:36 AM

it is our right. yes i do vote.

What makes you think your vote actually counts?

High Quality 08-04-2005 06:28 AM

I run a brothel for local politicians.

Dalai lama 08-04-2005 07:56 AM

I do vote. Sometimes it helps.

davecummings 08-04-2005 11:06 AM

Responsibilities!

Indeed, I DO vote; and, I (hopefully) vote responsibly by making certain I know/research the pertinent issues, the incumbent's record, and the challenger(s) position. IMHO, ALL elections are important---from city through national ones---and, we have a responsibility to our Nation/families/selves to vote!

Dave

sextoyking 08-04-2005 11:07 AM

I vote in every single election. Be it local, mid term, general, etc.

Voting is the greatest thing we have in our country.

This wont tell them anything... because 'non-votes' aren't counted and don't count for anything... and now with the new Diebold electronic voting machines that can be hacked to shit, who knows what votes are real and what votes are Memorex...?

Check out www.blackboxvoting.org to see what some of these scumbag elections officials are trying to do...
