Cancer or Suicide ?
which way would you rather die?
In the US: 1 in 2 odds for men 1 in 3 changes for women to develop some sort of cancer in their lifetime http://www.cancer.org/downloads/STT/...lPWSecured.pdf fucked up and scarey stats I rather off myself |
If it's terminal..I'm getting an ounce of woof and drink myself to oblivion
2004 stats
Estimated new cases of cancer: both sexes - 1,368,030 men - 699,560 women - 668,470 Estimated Deaths both sexes - 563,700 men - 290,890 women - 272,810 |
The sad thing is that most cancers are easily fixed if detected early enough.
2 million people in Uk are being sent self test bowel cancer kits for example very shortly. Im with the alcohol and pill overdose people if its terminal though! |
i think you be surprised how much you want to live after you get diagnosed with cancer....
for sure I would not commit suicide. I have always had this feeling that I will die of cancer. this thread gives me the creep.
Cancer affects us all, either directly or indirectly and the drug companies in the US don't want to cure people... they want to keep us on the brink of death, just enough to depend on their drugs. :( :Oh crap
Medical technology is getting better every year. I am sure cancer will be cured within my lifetime. Lots of cancer doesn't kill ya.
I don't think anyone can really say what they might do if they were inflicted all of a sudden with cancer. Honestly, I can't say what I'd do.
i love myself to much to commit suicide.. i'd rather have cancer, i want to die fighting.
Id smoke drink and enjoy life till the end.
life is so short.. and we must fight for all the trials we encountered
Though cancer happens to everybody, someof it are most likely triggered by other factors such as excessive smoking, drinking, and unhealthy lifestyle.

Its interesting to see the mixed responses to this thread. The truth is you cant predict how you will react. A small number of you know I was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year, and it changed my mental state completely. You dont think in the same ways as you did beforehand and although I can't speak in general terms, I know for me cancer came with depression. I thought about suicide on a daily basis, and got very close a few times, luckily I had someone that I could talk to and they kept me from giving up. (Thankyou! you know who you are :))
Some of you wont ever experience the despair of knowing that something is killing you and not having any control over it, and you are lucky. Fortunately for me I am over the worst part and the next stage of this challenge is mostly financial rather than emotional, which is a lot easier to deal with, believe me. |
i would rather die fighting cancer than to commit suicide.
