Hey baddog

We don't agree on anything. We always have a different opinion. You despise me, I don't really like you.

However I respect how you do business and I like how you deal with people.
Despite what I may say I do respect your business skills. Don't let how I talk on GFY go too far. I'm not saying this for any other reason than to just tell you that's how it is. So take it with a grain of sand if you like.

Not at all. He's had the opportunity to twice now. No one is going to get violent. Neither he nor I are that pathetic.

You on the other hand...

Seriously.

Come to the OC people, mellow out a bit by bitching about the traffic, how the El Toro marine base is too toxic to build a park on, how John Wayne airport sucks balls because you can't fly into it past 11pm....you know...IMPORTANT things. :winkwink:

I can careless what you do, and it's not the INS that would care.. It's Canadian/US Customs that will ban you from leaving canada for 10 years.. How exactly do you work in Socal legally? you should fill us in, yesterday you said you dropped out of school in grade 11.

Pretty sure you cant get a Visa without a University Degree.

I don't think Canada can or will ban you from leaving the country as they don't care where you live unless you are under probation or on bail or something. The US can definately ban you from entry however. I believe you can stay in the US a maximum of 6 months per calender year without a visa. Although you would still need a visa to work.

Working without a visa will get the company employing you in shit (fastsize) and will get him banned from the states for a solid 3-10 years.. So I'am guessing he gets paid cash and no wonder he took them out of his signature.

I guess my Law degree does come in handy, I loved immigration law!

Sarah_Jayne 08-02-2005 03:02 PM

Baddog and Brad are both good people..

My guess is that he is in the US on a student visa. I presume that you can't work with one of those?

You can with a work authorization permit that is signed by and approved by the school first, then stamped by the customs office in the LA Federal building.

Well you would have to prove that your skills are needed and the American company that hires you will have to show that they tried to fill the job(s) within America but could not find the appropriate candidate. I imagine that this would apply to skilled trades, I have a Canadian friend who is a plumber who got a work visa to work in Florida because of the huge demand there for skilled trades.

Yep this is very possible as well, i wasnt going to post it because i dont think this industry ties in with construction workers etc..

They have a seperate visa, either the B1 or L1 that is just for that stuff, because alot of the time americans have demand for canadian trade professionals, it's temporary and cant get you a greencard.

What everyone wants is the H series visa's, lots of competition, mainly cause they can turn into greencards after a few years.

You cant jump from no highschool to highschool in america and then Work Visa. If that were the case, it would be the biggest back door for uneducated mexicans, canadians, europeans and everyone else.. Anyways I'am curious to how this works, the logic just isnt there. If he explains it, that would be great..

other then that, Brad, come up to me in florida and i will explain everything, I just need to charge you 240/hour.

That's fine if you don't care. I just figured you seemed really interested in knowing and I have no problem sharing - I just don't think everyone on GFY needs to know.
