Does your Business Card Do THIS??!!

Haven't spammed anything in a looooong-ass-time, so chill out, haters.

Just wanted to let everyone know we're now offering our 3D business cards at a new lower price. No, they're still not cheap but do you want to just be another face in the crowd (or card in the trash :upsidedow) or do you want to Stand Out?
This is the adult business, it's all about Eye Candy.

These cards are the most amazing marketing tool and will set you completely apart from the competition.

So, ok, ok, get to the price.

5000 3D business cards used to be $1 a piece ($5000 total). We just dropped the price to $4250 (almost a grand in savings!)

2500 3D business cards WAS $3000 - NOW is only $2600.

Think how much you spend on advertising, hosting and equipment in 1 year. This is a drop in the bucket. These are cards that everyone will talk about and show to everyone they know (k, but not the kiddies if you have an animated money shot scene on your card :winkwink: )

To get more in detail, you can choose from a variety of effects: Animation (up to 12 frames of animation), Morph (one images transforms into another), Flip (basic flip effect from one image to another) and 3D Depth (one of my faves as it looks extremely realistic - a true 3D image with many layers of depth right on your business cards!)

No, we don't send out samples. The samples are expensive and we send the full runs to our clients, so we don't have a lot of extras available. We used to send out samples and the people who wanted them were not serious customers, they "just wanted to see them". The people who want to order always just do it.

If you want to see a sample, go to Best Buy and look at their Gift Cards. They're using a simple Flip effect.

However we will send you a custom sample for a $100 deposit! We will design your cards, email you a proof (you can request any changes you like until you're happy with your final design/3D effect), and actually mail you a hard copy sample of your card so you can "try it before you buy it", all for a $100 deposit! (the sample is an 80% accurate low-res version).

After you approve the hard copy sample, the production/turnaround time is 3 weeks. So, no, we can't get them to you for this FL Internext, but you could have them ready to go for Vegas :thumbsup (or any of the other shows).

Here are some of our recent 3D designs and prints:

Exactly - we sell these to mainstream all the time but I haven't gotten a single order from the adult biz yet - and have had this in my sig for eons. There should be tons of people on this board who would jump at the chance to have an animated or 3D card. Just think, Vanilla Deville stripping down on a business card, Sunny Leone's breasts in full 3D, :1orglaugh the possibilities are endless.

The new evolution of business cards..imagine the cost to produce them

sickkittens 08-01-2005 09:35 PM

Is that baddog in the 1st card? :winkwink:

cardboard images? what does that mean? This is a 3D lens, not one of those old cheesy holograms - the technology has been refined infinitely. You seriously don't see the value in having an animated card or a business card with true 3 dimensional depth over a plain-jane business card?

No, you obviously don't get it.

People don't throw away cards like this. They tend to hang onto them, and show them to people, saying things like "Look at this guy's business card, isn't that freaky?"...... they grow your business, they don't end up in a few thousand wastepaper baskets like the average run-of-the-mill black-on-white one-sided cards that most people have do.

tony286 08-01-2005 09:41 PM

very very cool stuff

It sort of sounds like it, yes.

Dalai lama 08-02-2005 08:54 AM

I rather have the oldschool business cards.

best way to get orders

CheneyRumsfeld 08-02-2005 09:01 AM

I distinctly remember Karl Rove telling George Bush that is what he thought his problem was.
Bush just don't have that snazy 3D business card.
the Dems just don't show no respect without it.

MickeyG 08-02-2005 09:07 AM

neat idea and Im sure very effective, but its still too pricey.

yea, they're very cool but the cost is a bit much. maybe if you could buy them in smaller quanitities...not everyone buys 2,500 cards at a time. Most people I know, including myself buy 250-500 at a time. :2 cents:

Denis_SC 08-02-2005 09:24 AM

This is some awesome stuff for sure ! :thumbsup

your cards are excellent, and very impressive, but starting out a thread with "so chill out haters" is a turn off to prospective buyers, why not just come out and say what ya got to sell and then ignore the flame posters?

your ad in general sounds like you're scolding 5 year olds. Just tout the best aspects of your merchandise and leave it at that. We all know in the adult industry that we have to have the "eye-candy" aspect

having said that, great job on the cards. hope you do well with them

Sosa 08-02-2005 09:29 AM

I love the Globe card :thumbsup

EroticySteve 08-02-2005 09:39 AM

Well said Mr. Pat. Personally, if you rely on your card to do your selling you're also perhaps shortsighted of the opportunity of networking that presents itself at shows and in the public. Frankly, if all someone remembers from your conversation is your card then you should go back to school and learn how to sell yourself and your company.

That said, I'm sure your products are good. They are definitely not cheap and you make no excuses about that. I'm sure that they sell well and I'm sure that there is plenty of business to be had.

I will say that I appreciate cards, of any type. I keep them in a binder and I look through there before I look through my contacts in Outlook.

Some of the nicest cards I've seen are the laser etched metal cards that a few guys around here carry.

If you're referring to the Antion "Ka-ching" card, that was how the client wanted it to look. Not our choice. That's the only card that uses clip art. :winkwink:

If I am spending $4250 I want to see a sample. You dont buy a car without a test drive or a television without it first being switched on. If I was you I would make a kick arse card for your company get 10,000 printed up and send them out to anyone who asks regardless of who they are as you never know who they know or who they may show it to.

The sample is $100 which is a totally customized to your design. This is pretty common for this product - I know of a competitor that charges $200 to send out generic samples with none of the designing, set-up or customizing that we do for $100.

We are currently developing a new postcard that will show all the 3D effects and will send out a run only to our past customers who frequently order from us.

But sending these out to every person who just "wants to see them" and doesn't have that type of money to invest in marketing is a waste. It's not like if a hosting or content company is handing out the 3D cards - they have a service that everyone needs. This is only targetted towards the serious marketer with serious $$$ to spend.

We used to send out tons of samples - man, I tell you, those were not the people who ordered - the people that ordered knew how great the product was, put a deposit down, we developed their ideas, sent them a proof in the mail and then they finalized their orders. I've been sending out samples for 2 years and 95% of my orders were made on the phone, first contact, and they made a deposit sight unseen. Then they get a proof of their design that they can look at and finalize their order.

99% of the people who asked for samples weren't serious about it, just wanted to see it and never ordered. We just stopped sending out samples last month. I had 2 years to see what worked and what didn't. Sending out samples to everyone doesn't work. When a serious customer gets a sample that looks exactly like what they had in mind, that's where we get our sales.

k, maybe that's a little too much in-depth behind the scenes of my business but I'm trying to explain the reasoning, the bottom-line of it is we don't send out samples :1orglaugh Sorry. For $100 we'll set up your card however you want and send you out a sample of your cards, not something generic. If you're interested in a great marketing tool, $100 to develop it and see it is a steal :2 cents:
