That Plan sounds SOLID! Save the dough on the girls, buy a round or two at the bar, save the money and you won't notice a difference. Nobody is sending business because you bring some models.

Ive never seen or had one bit of value out of bring a model or models to a show. Its a huge pain in the ass and very expenses. Plus, bitches are needy.

Leave the models at home and come to do business. The people you really want to do business with dont give a damn about chasing models.

OK who are you? because you must know me well.

The problem is I've been doing this since 97 and all the biz was done after we got home and sobered. most of the time everyone is drunk and not talking biz because you have to many people to meet and mingle with.
the old suite parties had naked girls running around and doing shows while we talked biz. does anyone remember the naked sushi parties etc.

Lets say you have a newer program like Porno Pushers. The fact is that there are still peeople unfamiliar with this name/brand. Roger can only talk to so many people at once. Friendly models can burn the name "Porno Pushers" into the head of those gawking at and flirting with the models. It makes sense. I swear I think some people are telling you not to bring models becuase they are hating on the dudes that will be attending the show and meeting these girls. And Roger, the naked sushi party in Vegas was hot. I wish I could have been in that suite.

The people I should talk to already do biz with me.. how do i attract new business. How many shows have you been to? i can't count them its so many.
I don't have the time to weed thru a 100's of people to find someone with traffic or some biz we can do?

Finally someone gets it. I know most of the people with traffic after doing shows for 9years almost.
but it's sounding like people will just be jealous if I have girls with me so it might not be worth it.

Shows are a time for bonding and talking some biz but deals are rarely closed there. it's a time to meet people face to face

2. You old school guys went WAY too far trying to out do each other. Made the bar of entry into the industry non existant because some of you were lazy while others stupid. You gave away the store to affiliates. What happened to the day when you had to prove you had traffic before anyone would even consider letting you use a set of their photo's??

And for any jackass that disagrees with this, your the problem. If programs were not LAZY or stupid they would have YOUR traffic. And would have had that traffic all along. Instead of doing it right now they are destin to pay a % to companies to write 50.00 checks every two months to 1000's of affiliates who don't know how to promote, let alone promote in an oversaturated market place. </ end rant for now.....to be continued>

Why when given sound advice do you always come back with questioning people? What does it matter how many shows I have been to? I'm giving you good, sound advice and you can either take it or do what you think is best. Its your money man.

I deal with hundreds of models a year and I can tell you, without question what you can expect. If you are just looking for an ego stroke and some girl to wear your tee-shirts then go for it. If you expect that model to have your best interest in mind and be a mouth piece for your program then I know you are barking up the wrong tree.

Models at shows may make webmaster all lovey dovey at shows, but what gets them hard all year is great sites that convert. Thats what gets serious webmasters attention. If you want to impress all the kiddies then bring the models.

Again, friendly, sound advice. Im not trying to be pissy and I wish you would see my comments as sincere.

I highly doubt no one ever did business with any one because they had pretty girls at a show or because of the parties they threw or the free meals. Its the money a program makes someone or the service a business provides. The rest is ego shit .

In the end, take the models. But there is no more man behind the curtin. You know the players and the newbies are too busy looking at your models to learn who they should be WOW'd by at the show.

thats the damn truth. I remember back in the day I would take the big players out to dinner and pay for it. because i was learning from them and they gave me advice. I felt that was the least I could do.

And now it's a hoard of kids looking for a free drinks and a T-shirt so they can impress the kids at the local 7-11 parking lot on Ricer night. And the best part is they are going to blow the 600.00 bucks on a plane ticket and admission so they can have that free beer and get that t-shirt and not learn a damn thing. While the people who WORK in this industry ( yeah there are still some of those) have their private dinners and meetings they pre arranged, all the while hoping like hell that they are left alone long enough by the newbies to hit on one of the 10 attactive women who will be in attendance that they know they shouldn't be hitting on, but will anyway.

The only thing that makes me hard is money, models dont mean shit to me. But, then again, I shoot them everyday so the "thrill" has been gone for years. Most of us dont care what you drive, who you date or how many chick you bang a week. We just want good sites to promote and programs that we can count on. Thats what earns traffic these days.

Well since you are asking for advice I would think you may find your trip more productive without the models. Nothing against the models they all serve their purposes but ultimately they make it hard to do business with you cuz they are always in the way.

If I had the choice between talking to the person standing at the bar having some drinks or you, someone who is dripping in women (which again is not a bad thing) I would choose the path of least resistance.

In some cases you are trying to attract webmasters that maybe shy but could have a ton of traffic... they won't fight past all the girls to meet you for the simple fear of being rejected.
