Richards Realm will have about an hour of downtime. His server cluster is being moved to a datacenter across the road from the old one. His host, company, http://www.muntinternet.com, have invested heavily in new hardware and have secured new premises.

Lace, when you consider that Richard has not had a single minute of downtime (neither have I) since moving to Muntinternet, an hour of downtime in an upgraded facility doesn't seem to suck.

If it was just a single server (or multiple stand alone servers) that needed moved, it could possibly have been done with zero downtime. However, we're talking about moving hardware loadbalanced clusters and unless Muntinternet built an identical cluster for each of their clients in the new location, there is really no way without the incidental downtime.

It's a small price to pay however when they can normally boast a 100% uptime (atleast my servers have never been down).
