Those Of You Who shut Your Sites Down Because Of 2257 How Do You Feel

Now that we are being told the new regs really didnt matter so much for the content you had in / on your sites?

Do you feel a little dumb for shutting your sites off without knowing all the facts surrounding the new 2257 regs?

Id imagine you did, especially those of you whom closed entire programs down :1orglaugh

Regards,

Lee

I ended up running a script that went through my first server and deleted out all images. All the original shit I built like 6/7 years ago was gone in a flash.

It was all old shit not earning very much anymore anyways so it wasn't that big a deal. Just kinda of a bummer to delete more out of sentimental value.

I didn't really have a choice cause it was mainly small free sites, avs sites and SE doorway pages. There was just no way to get it all 2257 compliant even if I wanted too. So I left the sites alone...just had every image wiped out.

All my current projects are 2257 compliant.

I'll spell it out for you. Program owners which made changes to their sites or policies did it in the best interest of their business. I'd be willing to assume that most did what they did under a lawyer's advice, or did so because it was a great reason to stop running a program they no longer wanted to run.

We made changes to, we moved fully offshore, it didnt cost us as much as closing down sites with long term, residual traffic levels.

We still benefit from that traffic and, still make money from that traffic.

THAT is good business :)

Lee

Do they involve getting friends to buy products at *amazing* prices from a network of friends? :)
