the YanksCash crew is flying to Australia for 10 days and we will mainly be in Sydney and wanted to hook up for drinks or a night out with any adult webmasters out there in the land down under ;)

do you shoot content there? or mainly promote other sites, i heard porn is a big NO NO in australia.. can you califiy..

Shooting content here in Oz has it's problems but it's not totally illegal - you just have to pick the state that you do the shooting in. There are several large sites that shoot their own content here in Australia but most of those guys won't be around for a few hours yet.

Just keep bumping the thread and I'm sure they'll see it.

These days we do text only so I'm a bit out of touch with that side of things.

If you want to know about drop bears do a search on Google - they're nasty buggers and the only thing that will keep you safe from them is a strong diet of vegemite. It works a bit the same way as garlic does with werewolves.

Start eating vegemite about 30 days before you come over and you shouldn't have any problems.

No, no, no... you have to cover your face in vegemite.. not consume it. It's the only way to keep the drop bears away....

Hardcore content is pretty much illegal in Australia, it falls under prostitution law. Unless you can prove the people in the film are a couple.

bhutocracy is about right - I think the ACT is about the only guaranteed place these days.

Tasmania was a few years ago but I think that may have changed now.

Queensland seemed to have some really crazy law where you could shoot it but you couldn't distribute anything that was shot here but I think that was fixed just recently

NT is about the only place where everything is legal and WA's fairly lenient i believe ...

I think you need to check your facts - the only state in Australia where prostitution is totally illegal is South Australia. And I have yet to see any prostitution law that links hardcore content to prostitution.

And if hardcore content was 'pretty much illegal' why would hardcore videos be able to be produced in the ACT?

In fact at one time the leading producer of hardcore videos in the ACT was the ex chief censor.

My understanding is it's A ok to shoot in ACT/canberra(legaly) and then any other state as long as you don't get dicked. But advertising in papers down in VIC for models falls under the solicitation act.

This time we are only hitting fiji and sydney. I havnt been there before but my biz partners have and since we are thinking of moving there its a good time for me to sorta look around at areas I might want to live from bondi to the city..

The content we usually shoot is solo girl/guy masterubation.. so we would like to be able to shoot while living in AU instead of hiring someone in the US to keep up for us.

I think it's sad that there aren't more adult webmasters linked up with Eros. Without them we really don't have a voice here in Australia.

That's a lot of moving around while still in the same city. Why not just get one hotel for the entire stay? Seems like it would be much less hassle to me.

can anyone plan anything? kinda hard for us since we dont know any areas or what to do.

Well the areas you mention are all within a radius of about 10 miles max - Bondi and Manly are just suburbs of Sydney

This is a good bar to meet people in as it's in Darling harbour and is
central and easy for everyone to find, right by the Sydney Aqurium, theres lots of other bars and clubs around the area as well, plus you can book a private table with couches over looking the harbour, free :)
Done a few webmaster gatherings there and they have all been a success.
