Conflicting fortune cookies. Quite a quandry.

So, I ordered Chinese tonight. Was delicious as usual, and then I opened my fortune cookies. I have never had 2 that conflicted so directly before, and now I don't know which one to pay attention to.

Fortune cookie #1: Accept the next proposition you receive (pretty risky advice I would think).

Fortune cookie #2: Be careful. You are easily tempted.

Okay, I am not sure that I exactly agree with the assertion of the second cookie, but doesn't that directly conflict with the advice given in the first one?

I am thinking I should call the Chinese restaurant and request two more cookies.

this remind me of the simpsons episode where homer writes the fortune cookies

I'd let the deciding opinion be my "Magic 8 Ball" when I'm in doubt...

Just shake it and turn it over for the answer.

No, request one more cookie... tie breaker.

you have received a gift, you know -- in a seeming conflict, balance, instead, which is exactly what you need for Forward Steps -- if your fortune had been simply "go ahead!", one could guess that something was holding you back, and you were wanting for a "green light" of some sort -- if your fortune had been "slow down!"... well, you get it. plus, when someone else has to call your attention to the speedo, it's never good. i'd say you have gotten just the perfect indication from the universe -- DO NOTHING DIFFERENTLY -- :thumbsup

Fortune cookies are like cookies set by websites. The second one over rides the first one. :1orglaugh

You could have a point there . . . there must be a reason I opened them in the order I did.

that's just what life is all about: full of ironies. BTW I saw Freaky Friday yesterday, that Lindsay Lohan-Jamie Lee Curtis movie, it was about fortune cookies.

the first one you opened will be the "right" one

Well, let's hope it is the right one, because it is the one most likely to happen. :1orglaugh

Sounds like Academy Award winning stuff . . . will watching it help me make a decision?

With answers like this, how could it be?

I'm not superstitious, but I never tell anyone what my fortune cookies say (well, maybe that makes me a little susperstitious then).

I keep all of my fortune cookie messages and pin them on a wall as a reminder of all of the good fortune that is certain to come my way.

Remember, if you read it in a Fortune Cookie it must be true ('cept for the Lotto numbers on the back of some fortune cookies - all bunk so far).
