:helpme Does anyone promote NaughtyAmerica.COM??? What has been your experiences with them...especially since rhe "NEW" 2257 Law??? They seem to be overinterpretting the law to the point of requiring me (and others?) to be the custodian of content of THEIR content...anyone with any input...well constructive input anyway, please let me know...<smiling sweetly> ginger

Before you wroory about promoing companies, may I suggest you contact a lawyer and find out just what this 'new 2257 law' is and what it means. Based on your post, its clear that you are clueless and have a short future in this business
|
sweetginger - the new 2257 regs require all us webmaster (secondary producers) to act as custodians of records. so the problem isn't naughty america - the problem is you should go talk to a lawyer or at least go read the law... it's been in effect since june 23. you are risking years in jail by not knowing.
|
SweetGinger.... I can't believe you've averaged less than 2 posts per year, before this posting binge of 3. That is to be commended.

Saying it isn't your specialty is a cop-out. You wouldn't run a restuarant without being familiar with your local health codes, and you shouldn't run an adult business without being well versed in 2257. Naughty America doesn't want to do business with anyone that isn't following the law. So if you're going to promote their sites using their content then you need to sign a contract stating that you will fulfill your obligation to maintain records as a secondary producer, and then follow through with that. If you don't like it, don't promote them, simple as that. :2 cents: |

You've done law school and yet you come to GFY for what amounts to be a legal interpretation?
Now I really have heard everything! And no one was rude to you - you are just too full of your own unimportance. |

That's your fault and it is a cop out. Coming to this message board for legal advice certainly doesn't make you look very intelligent. Bottom line is hire an attorney, have them review contracts before you sign them. If you can't afford an attorney, find a new hobby. I hear stamp collecting is becoming popular again. |
I've promoted them in the past.
I'm sure they'll gladly answer your questions. www.naughtyamerica.com/contactus.html |
