If you moved out of the United Staes, do you feel like a SELLOUT?
Do you feel like you betrayed the Country that , at least, educated you?
Just wondering. Knowledge is Power. ~Ray |
My parents paid taxes to this country to pay for that education so i would feel no pain if I left.
|
No, I would not feel like a sellout.

no problems here

The US is far from having the highest standard of living in the world. Who cares what people think. You have to be happy with your life and how you lived it.

i left the us and moved to costa rica. don't feel bad at all. wondering why i didn't do it 5 years ago!
|
If we're talking about education only, then "no". Out of perhaps 50 teachers I've had through school/highschool/uni, only 4 or 5 have been outstanding. To those I'm very grateful and if I was going to "pay back" in some way I'd want to benefit only those teachers.
But I'm not grateful to my country. Education (just like many other things) should move towards being more privatized*. *Not as in "Those who can afford it get educated" but as in "Competition makes for better teachers". |
