Who's Tactical Equipment do you Like Best?

I am a huge fan of Blackhawk Industries. I have one of their cross draw tac vests and shitload of other stuff from them. What tactical accessory companies do you like best?

Ludedude 02-01-2002 01:58 PM

My favorite is from Jim Bob Jump Back. He's got a small family business in the Bayou. Nice stuff...he outfits all the best survivalist cults you see on TV :BangBang: :ak47:

You're all either hardcore rednecks who think you're mercenaries because you read soldier of fortune magazine and own guns, or you are into tactical stuff beacuse you enjoy paintballing or airsoft.

Now, I'm not anti-gun, but I do think the gun laws in the states are a little loose. The way I see it, Canada has perfect gun laws. Only hunting rifles and shotguns are allowed (with the exception of law enforcement)... That's really all a person who enjoys shooting needs, a rifle. I've always viewed assault rifles and submachine guns and pistols as something that should be for law enforcement only.

I mean, you goto someones house and they have an entire wall of AR-15's and AK47s, and dozens of handguns... You make a comment about it and they say, "It's for home protection"... Lets be honest. The most you're going to need for 'home protection' is a shotgun or a rifle of some sort. Chances are, the drug addicted guy you find taking the TV from you're house when you get home from work probably isn't armed, he couldn't afford a gun, he spends his money of drugs...

My 2 cents.

AaronM 02-01-2002 09:09 PM

Well, I welcome your opinion, however... If you knew me you would not have made those coments. I have a legit use and need for what I have and it is not home protection or deer hunting nor am I a cop.

Anyway... I stilll have not seen any decent answers. Come on Snow. Quit flashing your cock on the other thread and give me some input here.

Way too oversimplified reasons for gun ownership. There are entire industries down here at stake. My father being a gun dealer for example. I know literally dozens of people who own guns strictly for collectors value. They do not hunt, they do not use them for home protection. My fathers has in his house over 150 assorted Mausers from around the world. Its his passion, as well as thousands of other people in the states. Guns are BIG business.

The problem is not guns. Its stupid motherfuckers owning guns that is the problem.

And once you start taking away certain kinds of guns, its only a short step to taking away all guns. Its about rights.

Its a very complicated issue.

Well, since I've been a competitive shooter with handguns for 15 years, I guess that I'd be SOL if we did things the way Canada does them. By the way, would you feel better if a "badguy" used a shotgun on you rather than a handgun?

kmanrox 02-02-2002 01:00 AM

man im frickin stoneded.......

HeadPimp 02-02-2002 01:16 AM

Aaron! What the hell you needing combat gear for??? How bad you been slumming to find your models man?
By the way, the best way to not get shot is to have a couple big dumb rednecks with you to act as bullet sponges!

UnseenWorld 02-02-2002 11:54 AM

Well, I wouldn't know where to go to buy a bulletproof vest (they are illegal if you're not in law enforcement, right?), but I probably should have at least a reliable handgun to protect me from my models' angry fathers, brothers, husbands, and boyfriends.

Kinda but not really.

TopTGP 02-03-2002 12:44 AM

Well, a shotgun would be better if you confronted someone and they were going to shoot you, shotguns are worthless at anything further then like 50-75 yards (in my experience), so if you can manage to out run him, the most you're going to get is a pellet or two..

And I forgot about competetive shooting, If guns were banned with the exception of competetive shooters, then hell, go all out with a M60 for all I care, just don't point it at me :D
