houseguests and working in this industry don't mix well
 

and not just because they are using my office as their bedroom. Anyone else basiclly hit a stand still when guests are over? Using my PDA in my bedroom doesn't hold its charm for long - especially without a PDA friendly version of the board.

i have my mother and father in law next week

luckily, we have like 10 rooms in our house total, so hiding is easy

plus, my office is off limits to anyone

plus I had to take Xbiz World out of the bathroom..lol

I hear that I have family comming down in a month and don't know how I am going to get anything done with them here.

Yeah, does not go well at all. Phone conversations are bad around them.

The only houseguests we ever have are my in-laws and they know what I do for a living and are respectful enough USUALLY to stay away from my office.

If they DO come in, which they have a couple of times in the past, they know damn well what they'll probably see on screen.

So no, I don't come to a standstill in any respect.

so do get stuff done when got family over, but still.. does cut into work time

if you have to hide shit form frineds and family your in the wrong business or with the wrong bunch of people ;)

luckily, pretty much anyone who comes to our place for any extended period of time (i mean more than 10 minutes, say) knows what we do - or at the very least realises that sexuality is an open playing field for us. more often than not we travel to our relatives. good luck this week sarah!

I know the feeling Sarah, I had a guest for 2 weeks and got absolutely fuck all done.

It's not a matter of hiding anything for us. Our family and friends all know what we do. It's just a matter of trying to work when there are toddlers running around the house or the visitors want us to entertain them all day long.

Now that we live near a beach in the tropics one of our daughters wanted to bring her family up for a month - we told her that if she did that we would both move out :Oh crap

exactly. It isn't a matter of hiding what I do -all my friends know (though I make the choice to keep my born again parents in the dark) but that doesn't mean they would be comfortable watching porn as a group.

it doesn't help but this place is a two bedroom flat and the second doubles as my office. In the future maybe I should give them my room and sleep in my office.

Tala came to visit with us for a few weeks, and she took our office, so that she had a bit of privacy. we had already been using out kitchen table, because my wife could not go upstairs, being pregnant. But we all three made due.

I got the basement and a small bedroom as guess places ... not too bad ;)

Normally my friends will just drink beer and watch television.. sometimes they'll come up to the computer and I'll show them some random shit that'll amaze them or make them laugh
