The 2257 revisions were bad enough - but with the GOP controlling everything, it certainly wasn't surprizing. But now we have liberal democrats coming after us. All I saw on the tube today were "reports" that many adult sites were using phrases like "sleeping beauty" and "harry potter' to attract the 11-14 year olds to porn sites. Of course, while they mentioned that there were 420 million pages of porn on the net, that forgot to point out that 99.9%+ of the "pornographers" would never use those kind of tactics to get traffic.
The point is that we are in an indefensible position . The FSC does a great job but will never get a fair shot to make the correlation between free speech and porn. The writing is on the wall, guys. If you are an "Adult webmaster" in the USA, you had better have a back-up plan.

90% of the people that I know go to porn sites once in a while but of those people you will not find 1% who would go "on the record" to defend the industry. As long as there is that kind of hypocrisy and cowardice out there, we are powerless against the right wing. I agree - time to pack it in.

I agree. Everyone in the US should immediately give up adult for their own mental health and well-being. I selflessly volunteer to relocate those wayward sites to Canada, where they'll be safe. :thumbsup

First, it starts with news casts to brain wash the American public. I.E., Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction, there is no weapons found, the news continues to brain wash the American public. The American public give in like sheep to a herd dog. Bush finds a new target and it might just happen to be porn, to all those who voted for this idiot, maybe we need a cleansing like Hitler did and get rid of all you imbeciles.

Last time I looked at the whois of the people using those tactics for attracting people looking for cartoons they definitely were not US WMs - just one scamming cheating asshole overseas and I even posted his name here as well as his paysites and his affiliate company
