I can understand why people are so upset.

Sure I was exposed to titty pics and a few pussy spreads before i was 12...but damn kids nowdays are exposed to facials, double anal etc before that if they are not careful or not monitored.

I can't imagine what kind of generation we are producing at the moment.

"There is simply no adequate system in place today to protect children from those who would peddle hard-core pornography to them".

The system of parenting might...

It's hopeless. It wont end here either

sixxxthsense 07-27-2005 12:49 PM

fuck that shit, its the parents responsibility to keep the kids away from porn, when I have kids I'll make sure that all the shit is blocked off.

Gunni 07-27-2005 12:54 PM

letting kids unmonitored on the internet is just bad parenting, plain and simple

Advanced Intellect 07-27-2005 12:55 PM

If you guys would actually read the link above, you will probably agree.

I do.

"Online pornography is increasingly accessible to children outside the home, as
well as through wireless devices that leave parents with virtually no ability to
monitor, filter or track. This accessibility is complicating the efforts of parents to supervise their children?s online activities. Teenagers now have access to sexually explicit images and messages via wireless laptops, BlackBerries®, twoway pagers, camera phones, instant messaging and chat rooms"

Very True.

"If Mom blocks our Internet Connection, I'll just go wireless and use the neighbors connection or at the local coffeeshop."

It's the parents responsiblity to keep their children away from pornsites. I really doubt that someone will acces a pornsite by accident.

What kills me is that they call themselves "progressive" - they are no more progressive than the old testament. What is a conservative Democrat anyway? Someone who is fiscally liberal and socially conservative? Creepy. What kind of person is that? Someone who rams their bible up your ass and taxes you for it. A Zell Miller I guess.

Where the hell are the Democrats who are fiscally conservative and socially liberal? That's what the Democratic Party needs.

Already starting to find that out. Just look at all the openly slutty kids running around in skirts that barely cover their asses and how guys treat them. My friends nephew is 15ish and has dozens of girlfriends he could care less about, and they don't give a shit either.

When I was 12 I was exposed to facials and double anal, it was called my friends' dad's porn collections. However I must add for the record, myself and all of my friends who watched it turned out to be serial rapists, so maybe these Christians have a point.

Funny, I was able to find a solution for this. I don't buy my kids their own laptops, blackberries, or phones with internet access. Plus I don't let them surf the internet at home unsupervised. What a radical solution. I don't know why I didn't think of censoring the world for everyone first.

I think the big problem with the idiots in the religious right is that they'd rather spend their time bitching about how other adults live than taking time to be good parents. Not a lot of time to supervise your kids when you're busy telling everyone else what to do. I find it hilariously ironic that they can still pull the holier than thou act with a strait face when the people who preach it to them are the biggest child molesters in the world. Isn't child rape a bigger problem than adults looking at boobies? A hell of a lot more child abuse occurs in the religious community than the adult entertainment community. In fact I'd say the count is about 10,000 to zero right now. Yet they still think they can tell the world how to be good people and what's right for children. What a fucking joke.

OK. I'm convinced. That is good argument for expanding the broadcast decency rules to cable and satellite too. Hell, use that thinking to outlaw guns... If Jr. can't get mine he'll just go get someone else's. What else can we ban that kids might do somewhere else other than home? Alcohol, cigarettes, c'mon, let's start a nice long list to pad the slippery slope you support :thumbsup

So, do you think that is because they're all watching porn?

MTV, rap music and the other influences they actually experience regularly has nothing to do with their behavior. :1orglaugh

I used to try to look at nude pictures back in the AOL days. I was about 16 years old. My mom scared the crap out of me cause she told me that every site I visited was being tracked and that she would be able to find out if i went to a bad site. I also used to get scared of the 18+ warning signs cause I thought somehow I would get caught if I went past the warning. I looked for sites with no warning pages. lol. :1orglaugh

I think you're really on to something there! Don't forget cars, boats, planes, all forms of vehicles, we wouldn't want a child to steal one and drive it. Caffene has to go, so do boob jobs. In fact, all women should be forced to surgically remove their boobs so there's no temptation for kids. There should also be no kissing, stealing, fighting, shooting, or lying on TV.

From the article posted:
Quote:

This accurate and effective age-verification technology is readily available to
businesses worldwide and could easily be incorporated as a standard feature of all adult websites. Anyone interested enough in child protection to conduct a cursory Google search for ?Online Age Verification Software? will find links to no less than seven AVS providers.
From Google:

Your search - "online age verification software" - did not match any documents.

The 7 ads that came up offered nothing any more reliable than what is used now. If a kid puts in an adult's name and address, the software checks it against "billions of documents" and lets them in. Someone writing that pdf article must have stake in one of those companies :1orglaugh
