If you have problem with XP do this:
check to see if the manufactures of you hardware have new drivers for XP see if your MB manufacture has a updated BIOS. Most of the problems I've had with XP on customer machines was BIOS related |

xp fucking rocks!
will all my win98 programs work with XP if i switch?
No.
Speedy, it depends which ones. Most will, some won't. XP has a compatibility mode that you can use for certain Win95/98/ME products but it doesn't always work. What are you running that is Win98 specific (besides games)? Also, be aware that some versions of Win98 programs WILL run on XP Home edition but not XP Pro. Don't know why since the kernel is the same, but that's a fact.
