MrSkin, NATS, CCBill, and conversions ?

Anyone seeing poor conversions yesterday with MrSkin, and poorer conversions today ? Could it be a NATS issue ? A CCBill issue ? or just a bad few weekdays for conversions ?

When you experience poor conversions with a sponsor for a day or two do you keep sending the traffic or do you rotate them out and try another ?

A day or two!!!??? Are you insane.

If my conversions drop for 15 minutes I get rid of them and move on to a new sponsor. </sarcasm>

That is why I have my own company now, so I don't have to worry about that stuff happening.

C'mon baddog, conversions are never that consistent every day are they ? Doesn't your system rely on Flynt Digital conversions or other sponsors ? Do you rotate those based on conversions every 15 minutes ?

I'm pretty sure CCBill changed something over the weekend and neglected to tell people about it, causing Datalink to stop working until the people get in touch with them. This may be why, if they were affected by this it's possible signups aren't being correctly sent back to NATS because of Datalink being down.

CCBill did have an announced datalink change over the weekend (*rip hair out*) however that would only effect rebills type info not signup data which is determined by post back & such.

The datalink issue has also been cleared up just so everyone knows.

Mr Skin does not use ccbill. It is VXSBill (are they the same?).

xxxice 07-27-2005 07:29 PM

Things are going good here. Sorry to hear this :(

Brujah 07-27-2005 07:40 PM

So you're recommending I should probably just switch to a better converting sponsor since MrSkin is converting poorly today ?

Truth is, I could, but you obviously missed the </sarcasm> tag

VXSBill is certainly not the same as ccbill....... to use VXSBill you need to have your own merchant account, we use them and had our best day EVER yesterday :D See sig!

Hey, this is Derek from MrSkinCash. If you have a chance to give me a shout via email (derek at MrSkin.com) or via ICQ (284137502) we can see what is going on with your conversions. I will need to know which UserId you are promoting through and I will be able to tell if there is anything not right. Also, I am always available to help with getting your site converting better through our program, or at least trying.

Lastly, to clear up some of the things in this thread:
1. We use VXSBill as our primary, we also have other processors in 2nd and 3rd spots. VXS and CCBill are not the same.
2. With NATS we were aware of the Datalink issue and our tech guys took care of it once we were informed about it.
3. Our conversions have not changed.
4. I do not wear women's clothing, except on Thursdays. But who doesn't do that?
5. Depending on how much traffic you send at a program would depend how often I would check on conversion. If you are only sending a couple hundred clicks a day, it would be difficult to know in 15 minutes if conversions have really changed.
