OK heres the deal -

From whats their support have advised me they have an error their end with the FTP set up - this is resulting in us not being able to upload files.

Great they can see what it is know how to fix it - perfect :thumbsup

Now they ask for the 4 digits of the CC the account is set up under, I send them the details for the card they have billed and they say they have not got those card details on file.

They say the issue needs to be resolved with billing - who are not open - then to contact support again to get the issue fixed...........

Can any one from webair contact me and explain whats happening, how you can bill our card if the numbers are worng?

Your support team and rightly so dont want to deal with it your billing dept is closed and we are paying for something which from what we can gather from your support guys is set up wrong.

IU have never been asked for the last 4 of my cc when getting support who did you talk to?

not in the past - to be fair I know why they do it its just annoying as they have billed us and yet say the card is worng :-(

how true :1orglaugh Webair is a mediocre host at best. They are good for gallery guys, anything mission critical on webair is asking for serious trouble. They have the worst sql problems

Hell, I wouldn't even be able to tell them which card I used since I've been mailing in my payments for almost two years.

I dont have issues with their service overall - was some bad server downtime which 'Mike' sorted out.

This is a real headache as we are setting a site up for a client so this has really screwed our day up.

If you know what's best for your business, MOVE. And I mean RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

webair is a great hosting company! i have had nothing but great experiences with them!

I agrere I have never had a problem with webair and never had any downtime either

just a few glitches during the setup process.. but nothing major since... if you suggest not webair, then who?

Dont be a cheapass and try to skim by on hosting.

Two hosts that don't have to spam GFY for business: SwiftWill and XXXHostIt. Been dealing many times with both on behalf of clients and NEVER had any issues. Top-notch support and I doubt it you'll find more service-minded and competent hosts.

Webair is the best host around by a fucking landslide. They did some shit for me this week that blew me away....support is top notch!

Nice offer, but no thanks. Shit is shit, even when it's free. I've helped clients of mine move away from Webair and they've been happier than pigs in shit ever since that happened. Anyone can run a host. Few can run it WELL.

Asking for the last 4 digits that you have on file is a very familiar request. This is just another security measure webair has. Their support has been nothing but excellent to me.

Well I recommeneded Webair to a client im designing a mainstream site for...Guess i'll go check out some others.

I've hosted with webair for over 2 years now. I've had my issues with them. But you get what you pay for. Webair offers top quality bandwidth for 3 or 4 times LESS than nationalnet or ISPrime, among the others mentioned in this thread.

As someone said - if you need mission critical uptime then you should also be willing to pay 3 or 4 times what webair offers in pricing. Seriously.

I have hosted with both Techie and I am currently with Webair.

Techie has ONE good tech and that is Wayne.. if Wayne isn't around, good luck.

As for Webair, I have had no problems with support, I put a ticket in, and I get a reply right away, and my shit gets worked on, and it's done. Hell, I have had an idea on how to set something up, and they suggested better faster ways.

Don't be a sheep and listen to a few peoples bad experiances, try them yourself.

I've never had anything but good service with webair and 0 downtime.

I think the haters are in the pockets of other hosting companies and they get discounts for hater-aide.

For the record....I have boxes at both ISPrime and Webair and although I have not been using Webair as long as ISPrime...I have never had a single problem with their service.

I know people who have had issues with Webair, ISPrime, NatNet, Techie Media....And on and on and on....

No host is perfect but there is also no problem which can't be fixed.

ISPrime has been golden to me but they have NEVER asked or implied that I should bash their competition.

NatNet and Techie also have more class than to do that.
