hahahaha> Firefox 1.0.6 Fixes a lot of fucked up shit <hahahaha

Ever since I downloaded the google bar from google for firefox things got all fucked up major...

When I'd go to open another instance of Firefox it'd tell me the user was being used and pick another... fixed
When I tried to open another window it'd take for ever to load it (think windows 98 and IE back in 99 and 2000)... fixed
The upgrade to 1.0.5 did nothing to help... fixed
Web Developer Extension was fucked up in 1.0.5... fixed

Awesome... I was getting tired of having to load this shit in safe mode... fixed

darksoul 07-27-2005 04:12 AM

firefox fucking sucks.
it messed up my cookies 10 times so far.

V_RocKs 07-27-2005 04:21 AM

Messed up the cookies?

EviLGuY 07-27-2005 04:24 AM

I honestly cant use any other browser anymore. Firefox for life. :thumbsup

I even stealthily install it on other peoples machines. :1orglaugh

Only one thing I miss about IE that Firefox doesnt have yet and thats how on IE you can slide around where toolbars and such are placed. Like on IE I have the google toolbar in the same row as the File Edit View etc menubar. On Firefox I gotta give it a whole row.

lower your inmemory cache.

Pim(P) 07-27-2005 04:41 AM

I love the tabbed browsing feature of firefox. That's the main reason I use it.

Yeah tabs are great for GFY especially. I just open every thread that sounds interesting with a ctrl-click. Then work my way through them. :thumbsup

WhoGivesaShit 07-27-2005 05:14 AM

most problems have been documented to be located between the chair and the keyboard.

KraZ 07-27-2005 05:52 AM

No one said anything about Opera - shame on you!

fuzebox 07-27-2005 06:03 AM

I've been a Mozilla/Firebird/Firefox user for years, but to be honest although I couldn't live without Firefox's features or interface, I'm jealous at how fast and responsive IE is... It could be all the fucking extensions I've installed though.

Rui 07-27-2005 06:42 AM

The new 1.0.6 seems way worse than 1.0.5.....

loverboy 07-27-2005 09:11 AM

no problems for me eversince I tried FF a year ago
IE sucks balls

:smokin

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-27-2005 09:17 AM

Firefox is the only browser worth using!
Every person and member that I referred love it and asked me how to remove

UbbernutExploited

Installing a toolbar ... christ, that's like a painting a target on your chest! (Stay away from th@ sh@ y0 !)

mrkris 07-27-2005 09:17 AM

I hate IE from a designers point of view. That stupid IE 3 pixel bug kills me every time haha

candyflip 07-27-2005 09:18 AM

I installed the upgrade and then I couldn't get FF to open. I'm back on a older version now.

Pete-KT 07-27-2005 09:24 AM

Ever since the upgrade FF has been faster

Fletch XXX 07-27-2005 09:27 AM

fuck toolbars.

firefox and no toolbars.

SilverTab 07-27-2005 09:27 AM

When you get the "Select another user" error it means the firefox process is still running, and is bugged....

You just have to CTRL+ALT+Delete and find firefox in the Process list and click on End Process....then you can reopen it and tadahhh

tungsten 07-27-2005 09:28 AM

i love firefox but didnt update yet

Thurbs 07-27-2005 09:30 AM

loved firefox since it branched from moz :) yah the browser.cache.memory.capacity will help. mine was at -1 doh, no wonder it was a memory hog.

View > Toolbars > Customize
Now you can drag the toolbars just like in IE.

yeah same here...there are some incredible memory leaks in FF....

Funny thing is: open the task manager, check out the ram firefox is eating, minimize all firefox windows...and voila....memory is flushed...but it will slowly go back up to the point it was before

I find the Google toolbar to be quite handy actually.. from form filling, to navigation, to spell checking. It packs a lot of useful stuff into one toolbar.

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-27-2005 09:39 AM

If your having issues with the new FF (or even an old version) uninstall some of the extensions (if you can remember, in the order they were installed).

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-27-2005 09:42 AM

jeepers, I set my cache to 500MB and I can not figure out why I am out of memory

cache = 1KB

Shoehorn! 07-27-2005 09:42 AM

I've been having some problems with it lately too.

Steve 07-27-2005 09:55 AM

Project-Shadow 07-27-2005 10:46 AM

I never had a problem with cookies before, except when I upgraded from a version which couldn't import my old profile.

Forget about ctrl+click. Use the middle buttom to open in a new tab (and also to close the tab), works great!

Btw, as someone already mentioned, you can customize your toolbar anyway you want.

WOW, that'll choke any browser.

Adblock (GFY looks much nicer with this)
AniDisable (I get the point after the first time around)
Dictionary Search
IE View (thinking of removing as I have yet to use).
