Steve Vaught, a 39 year old man from Southern California is tired of being fat. At nearly 400lbs., he decided to make a change. In April, he started a journey to walk across the country, and in the process, regain the health he enjoyed earlier in life. FatManWalking is a site that chronicles his story as it unfolds each day.

I'm happy for the fat man and what he is attempting to accomplish (walking from California to New York in six months). On the other hand what a luxury to spend six months not working.

I only glanced briefly at his blog, but I had to laugh when I realized he set out in April, so he is halfway through his six month journey from California to New York, however he is still just in Arizona.

Unless he transforms into fat man jogging, there ain't no way he will get to New York in six months. He'll be lucky to get to the Mid-West.
