Yeah, Wright Patt is here, but like 20 miles away and to the North. This thing is not from WP, it came in from due South, circled 3-4 times, then went back South. The planes and other aircraft in from Florida and the Coast left days ago, this is not normal, and WAY out of any flight path for the base.

HAHAHA, yeah, i was one of the first all cought up... :thumbsup

Looks like you have dust spots your camera's sensor.

Maybe it's like what happened to a friend of mine a few years back when Australia first got their Black Hawks.

They lived on the edge of town and one night they heard a helicopter go overhead - a couple of minutes later there was a knock on their door. When he opened it there was a guy in a uniform to tell him that his son was waiting in the paddock across the road to take him for a ride in one of the new helicopters :)

Yeah that was my first thought, I had it off before the first pic was taken...lol I wish I had had the camera out sooner, I had to run back insdie to get it which cost some better views of it. I think originally the door on the left (if it was facing you) was open. It's not really a huge deal, it's just totally unheard of here in Centerville to have one fly in that low and circle like that.

No, we had just gotten home and letting the dogs out. I was on bee and wasp patrol battleing a grueling fight near a bush they hang out that has a bunch of little flowers on it. I was mid spray when she pointed the 'copter out and retreated from my battle to get the camera :thumbsup

BTW, NewBreed 4 - Bees/Wasps 0 !!!

There is no such routine that includes hovering under 300ft about Centerville, Ohio. When they are doing training here with theses birds they run up over Huber Heights, which is an area within a few miles Northwest of Wright Patt. This was not routine at all.

Only other time I have seen something like this was when the State of Ohio used to do drug irradication sweeps in Southern Ohio using the BH's as a platform. I think they stopped using them a few years ago though.

Yeah, I don't have any special lenses or anything on the camera, that was the stock lens that comes with the D70. I did zoom in, but only as far as that stock lens would go.

My step father walked home after the club last night and one had spot lights on him for about 5 mins. He was crapping himself, said it was really freaky.
