Nah, you're not an idiot. I didn't learn about all that stuff until I bought my first expensive car, an '03 Porsche C4 Cab. It's really important to shop the banks, terms and details - if you do it right you get crazy leverage.. a low payment and you're never upside down on the deal when you take it back early to get something different!

Anyone who knows anything about newer Ferraris, Lambos, etc, understand the paddle shifting. To call the car an automatic or think it is worth less than a stick is uneducated about exotic cars.

How do you think they shift gears in Forumla 1 racing? Drive one and you will understand.

I understand how they work, I just think it's the lazymans way of owning a manual car. If I ever have enough money and enough drive to want to drive a status car, I'd get a 360 modena, with a h pattern six speed. If they dont make em anymore, I'll pay extra to have an "old" 6 speed h pattern shifter installed. :2 cents:
