If the United States pulled out of every country...
what would happen if they all came back home to the US? How long before the UN calls asking for us to fight someone?
seriously. ~Ray |
22 minutes until the world would go completely anarchistic.
|
I think we should do that as we are not wanted anyways let them tear themselves apart

I'm sure germany for example would go instantly to a state of uncontrollable anarchy if US bases are emptied.
|
You guys are kidding, right? You believe that US troops are what's keeping peace throughout the world?
|
all hell would break loose within days

....and by the way, the germans get very upset when the US closes bases down there, like they did in the early 90s..... they are a big source of money for local german economies |

few more such threads and ill become real terrorist LOL

I would not like that. We need MORE bases, specifically in the Middle Eastern countries. Thank God we can finally set up shop in Iraq. Next is Syria and Iran. Soon we will be planted firmly in the Middle East. World domination is near. We must be proactive in our approach or China will have the upper hand very soon.

the US polices the world if you haven't noticed :1orglaugh especially with bush in power
a lot of the countries we have bases in wouldn't be able to survive if they didn't have our military backing |

Oh....I'm not agreeing with this thread.... I was just making that point. ....although the fact that people don't realize how many situations on the planet are kept in check by a worldwide US military presence are very naive. :2 cents: It wouldn't take 20 minutes, or even 20 days, but within a few years the amount of conflicts breaking out would be pretty bad IMHO. If it wasn't for the fact that our economy is so intertwined with the rest of the world, I would love to see the US pull out all aid to the rest of the world, all military presence, etc.... and just let everybody stew in their own juices. Unfortunately, we can't do that. We are too dependant on the rest of the world's economies staying somewhat stable. :( |
Feel free to take your only basis from greece loated in creta island. Burning your embassy and making g.w.bush not to visit us i believe it's enough :-)

Awe, that's cute, you actually believe that not only is America going to be in Iraq permanently, they're going to move on to two stronger neighbouring countries. You're like a little puppy dog you're so cute. Just like the Americans were going to move on to Laos and Cambodia right after they quickly disposed of the commies in Vietnam. Hate to burst your bubble but in five to ten years there won't be a single US troop left in the region, and Iraq will be an Islamic theocracy with extremely close ties to Iran. They're already being asked to leave the Central Asian airfields they set up before the Afghanistan invasion, with Russia and China helping push them out. |

Yeah, for the most part I think thats what they were saying. Maybe we are not doing it by passing out flowers to others, but we are mantaining the balance. Believe what you want. :disgust |

Im sure the world would fall apart if the few american soldiers went home
Look at the peace they have created in the middle east Look at how thay made peace in Israel Look at how they made peace in africa Look at how they helped the nuclear deal with korea Look how they remember to pay the agreed amount to help starvation in africa... ... yep.. I think so :error -- this is a joke right? |

Who knows ... this isn't the point really ... We don't know what are the true policical climates in countries unless we live there
|
First, I must say I seriously hope they do not, but if they did:
- many dictators would resume with their tyrannical rule. - many innocent people would die from starvations, torture, slavery, murder and other atrocities (the evils removed will simply return). - the UN would wonder how the to proceed with removing their collective head from their collective ass - mortality rate for the US would improve - their oil reserves would increase drastically - they?d save BILLIONS upon BILLIONS - they would not have as many AirMiles - Canada would need contract a new taxi or courier service That is merely an assumption to a hypothetical situation (most with half a brain would agree and hope never happens) |

It'd be hard to see how they could sustain that level, but then I said the same thing when they were at around 40/day last year and it's just been increasing. |
Bump for the geo-politics thread.
Some places would fall apart, others would be fine. |

We rarely police a region that is not of interest to us. Add up the troops we have in Africa for instance. The US military needs to protect our business interests abroad. The cost to US citizens would be very high if we were to isolate america.

I was just wondering what countries would fall out of balance and which ones would be better off without us. ~Ray |
