I would hate to see if the media was ever really able to show the pictures and video of what war is really like - hell they aren't even allowed to show the coffins coming home to Dover Deleware like we used to have on the front of every newspaper in the US back then.

If you elect people to run the US that are going to war - then you have to live with the fact that people are going to get tortured, killed and maimed - its just a fact - but I guess its not politically correct to think that we should have a war with injuries - comes from watching too much "shock and awe" and not realizing that those bomb blasts are killing thousands of children at the same time.

You might want to re-read the post as I did not say that - however unless you have been totally brainwashed by the history books and news media the only reason there was a my lai in the papers and news was it was the only one that made the news - happened almost every day - just didnt get the coverage. So they made a few Lt.s in the military take the blame for it and the media had their news to rally the anti-war protesters.

If you were alive back then and lived through it as well as having your best friends heads blown off by kids grenades you might have a little different attitude - but then I guess I'm just a moron for having lived through it
