When I lived in West Palm Beach which is a good ways from the Cape on a clear day you could still see the shuttle. Awesome site even from a hundred and fifty miles away.

I saw one go off from Orlando one time. It was far away but still seemed surreal.

fox news says 56 minutes to launch

I have never seen one but I plan on it one day

its 9 minutes till launch tell fox there wrong

I think they just said they paused countdown at 9mins for 45mins

fox is still counting down and at 41:02 to launch

launch is 10:39 Easten time.

Strange.... Its a planned hold... why dont they just make the countdown longer?

It is a government clock. Takes breaks often for odd reasons.

I will see it tonight on the news anyhow ;)

I seen the very first shuttle launch before most of you were born or two young to remember. Fuck, I also watched the first man walk on the moon when I was 6 years old. The shuttle is a glorified airplane... not real interesting to me anymore. Well, unless I was in it. :1orglaugh
