I just read somewhere that Microsoft will probably change the name they chose for the new OS Windows Vista because it turned out that the name "VISTA" was already trademarked by another company from 6 years ago.

I think they actually STOLE the name from the window company. It would be too much of a coincidence otherwise.

The only one that may have a legit claim is the tech company. The window manufacturer does not. A trademark protects you from competing products carrying your name or companies in your field using your name. Like you can have Adobe Software and Adobe Construction and there is no trademark infringement.
