My Life Is Complete: Google Adds an RSS Reader (READ AND DO THIS PEOPLE!!)
The moment I've been waiting for since first learning about Google's Personalized Homepage has finally arrived! Google now allows users to add content to their page using RSS readers!
In case you don't know what I'm talking about, let me demonstrate... here is my My Yahoo page: If your eyes are really good (or if you have a magnifying glass) you can see that right below the search box on My Yahoo page is a section that says Donny's Ramblings: Diary of a Pornographer. Below that title are the latest updates to my blog. It is on my My Yahoo page because Yahoo allows users to add content to their start page using an RSS reader. I simply click on the "add content" button and type in the RSS feed for my blog, which happens to be: http://www.***************.com/donny...s.com/atom.xml Further down my My Yahoo page is a list of other blogs I like to keep up with. Now everyday when I open my homepage I can see the latest entries in my favorite blogs. They show up just like any other news link. I've been a google kind of guy for quite sometime. The entire reason I use My Yahoo is because of the RSS feed option. Until I heard Yahoo offered one I'd always had my homepage set on http://news.google.com. Then Google came out with a personalized homepage, but an RSS reader wasn't available. Now, finally, an RSS reader is available from Google's personalized homepage! Take a look at what I mean: See the top of the center column? There's my blog! And I'll be adding all my other favorite blogs soon! Google, the prodigal son is comin' home, baybeeee! The moral of this story? Set your homepage to MyYahoo, MyMSN, or Google Homepage... then add my blog to your page via RSS using the feed URL I gave you earlier. Now. What are you still here for??? Go do it! |
By the way, there are certain "benefits" in doing this. Follow my instructions, add my blog, and then hit me up on ICQ and I'll tell you what they are. :)
|
YARGH! I know the benefits, and I'd rather add me own but good luck to ya.

Is there a way to stay logged in, so that I can just set that page as my homepage?
|
The Google Personalize page has a PR of 8, any links in your "subscriptions" show as links on this page, thus getting a PR boost. Helps if you add related content to your page
Free tip, and you don't have to sign up my feed. :) P.s. for your feed set your links to view to 9 |

But you still need to add my feed. It's a good addition anyway. So do it! |
good tip
