There are 6 million and 35 ants in my house

How do I get rid of the motherfuckers, should I shoot them one by one or is there a faster way, I can't stand the smell of chemicals....

Scott McD 07-25-2005 10:54 AM

How long did it take you to count them ???

Sold at your local department store for around $20, it probably works. Worth a shot, no chemicals.

I would kill the 35 for starters. That would give you a nice round figure to annihilate later. :thumbsup

hairspray works. Glues their little legs together. :) But I would recommend tracing them back to their nest. If it's in your house, chemicals are the best way. If it's outside, draw a line with Fantastic or bleach along your doorway or wherever they're coming in. That will kill their scent trail temporarily while you nix the ones inside your house.

BEWARE: Do NOT leave the dead bodies around. They will go looking for missing patrols with little military parties and military precision. If the patrols simply go missing, then they'll assume a big bad enemy is out there. If they find dead bodies, they will arm for war. They're smart like that.

I use little ant bait traps behind my furniture and along their scent trails, and that combined with the bleach on the doorway worked just fine.

We have this special white powder in the uk which is extremely effective. You add the white powder where they are and it seems to kill them en masse. I just dont remember what its called.

kaori 07-25-2005 12:29 PM

all depends on the kind of ants..
usually 'bait' poison is best.. they take it back to the nest..
there are grease eating ants, sugar eating ants, and more...
gotta deal with 'em in different ways..
ants like Pharoah ants suck to get rid of.. you should NEVER spray poison them, because it just leads to bigger nests...

That would be Boric Acid. Works wonders. I ussually mix it into some jelly or sugar water and then set it near their trail. They bring it back to the nest and poof they are gone.
You can pick it up in almost any hardware store like Ace, and in various other stores. By the way it has no smell.
